The Town of Marana is seeking a Right-of-Way Inspector to work in the CIP Division in the Public Works Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in having a direct impact on providing inspections for the Town of Marana's public infrastructure projects. Expected Hiring Range: $24.31/hour - $29.78/hour * Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget. Salary Range: $24.31/hour - $35.25/hour * Performs compliance inspections for duration of the permit; issues permit extensions; and issues noncompliance notices. * Issues permits by routing permit through review process with all stakeholders; identifies all applicable fees and requirements for all routine permits. * Reviews construction plans and approves routine traffic control plans. * Assesses site conditions and proposed future improvements; evaluates plans submitted for permit for any conflicts and establishes project specific permit conditions. * Performs permit closeout and warranty by coordinating and performing final inspections; reviews submitted material and tests data for compliance; and issues closeout permit and closeout letters. Assists Operations and Maintenance with warranty inspections. * Associates degree in a related field or equivalent. * Over three years of experience in construction and inspections activities. * ATSSA Traffic Control certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire). * Valid Arizona Driver License. * Must complete a pre-employment physical. * Must complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
