Responsibilities and Duties
* Inspect produce and floral items per Standard Operating Procedures for compliance with Safeway specifications.
* Use and maintain analytical tools.
* Enter Quality data into database and complete other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
* Report key Quality Assurance information based on set Safeway standards to Procurement.
* Resolve receiving issues in terms of quality of product as well as quantity on a timely basis to allow proper warehouse receiving.
* Work with Quality Control management to quickly reconcile any outstanding issues so as not to cause out-of-stock conditions.
* Assist in banana ripening.
* Work with warehouse personnel to answer any questions with regard to product quality, packs or proper temperatures.
* Monitor warehouse produce inventory for quality conditions on a daily basis and report older perishable commodities to replenishment personnel.
* Other duties as required by management.
Qualifications and Skills
* 4-year college degree in food science/agribusiness or equivalent related industry experience.
* Retail produce and floral knowledge and USDA/CFIA Inspection experience helpful.
* Warehouse/receiving experience.
* Fresh produce or floral growing, packing and/or harvesting a benefit.
* Good management skills and ability to relate with diverse workforce.
* Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
* Basic math skills. * Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to differentiate between colors.
* Ability to work in 34 to 38 degree temperatures for extended periods of time.

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.

Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.

Oversee construction work in progress and assist the Site Designated Representative (SDR) with contract compliance and work acceptance.

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.

Documents the completion and test results of non-destructive test process.
Ensures parts are cleaned following completion of NDT process and in acceptable condition for further processing.
Performs equipment and material maintenance checks in accordance with the appropriate company process.
Maintains records of all maintenance performed on the non-destructive test equipment and materials.
Liaisons with engineering, inspection, and other personnel as required to assist in researching and solving non-destructive test process problems.
Maintains personal qualifications as stated in the appropriate company process.
Supervises trainees in the on-the-job trainer non-destructive test training requirements.
Participates in continuous improvement of cell processes.
Cross trains in other complementary skills and seeks endorsements for those skills as needed to support production requirements.
Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.
Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.
Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
Carries out other duties as assigned.
What skills you'll use:
Currently certified to at least one of the following methods as a level II or III according to the requirements of NAS-410 with enough experience to be certified as a level III: FPI, MPI
Experience with Penetrant Testing (PT), including fluorescent penetrant methods preferred (not just visible dye).
Experience with Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) involving continuous wet methods and bench inspection equipment; experience limited to yoke testing or prods is insufficient.
Must be able to and willing to provide evidence from previous employment that meets the requirements of NAS-410 of accepting the certification in the method.
Knowledgeable in and understanding of inherent and non-inherent discontinuities found in materials.
Knowledgeable in the requirements and methods of handling materials processed at Standard Aero.
Must be willing to be trained and certified in multiple methods.
Must be able to pass the vision acuity requirements of NAS-410.
High school diploma or GED
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
Regularly required to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
Working knowledge of production management computer system and other related internal control systems.

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.
Requirements (to be considered you must have the following):
Computer with an internet connection
Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you will be paying for your own gas)
Smartphone (Android or iPhone)
Printer
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license
Pay and Hours
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $30-$40 per hour.
Depending on a county and if it is urban or rural you will complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month working 2-30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect or are willing to cover a larger territory.
No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
