We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and customer-focused Repair Station Quality Inspector to support training, development, and standards functions at Cirrus Aircraft. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence through quality control of in-process, incoming, and outgoing inspections, mechanic training, work order recordkeeping, and return-to-service processes.
The ideal candidate has a strong passion for quality systems, shows exceptional initiative, and demonstrates a proactive mindset. The successful applicant will possess proficiency in Microsoft Office products, working knowledge of FAA Parts 145, 43, 91, and 135, and experience with Cirrus SR and SF aircraft.
This position is for weekend shift Friday - Monday 7:00am - 5:30pm
Weekend shift comes with a 12% shift differential
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
* Conduct hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with current technical data from manufacturers, FAA-approved data, and standard industry practices.
* Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials and parts when the parts department is unavailable.
* Provide on-the-job (OJT) training to newly hired Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMTs).
* Ensure thorough knowledge of applicable FAA regulations relevant to their duties.
* Be proficient in inspection methods, techniques, tools, and equipment necessary for determining airworthiness.
* Maintain proficiency in using Inspection Aids related to their assigned area of responsibility.
* Verify inspection tools, equipment, and aids are in working order and properly calibrated with up-to-date calibration labels.
* Understand applicable specifications, tolerances, and limitations as defined by the article's manufacturer.
* Ensure inspections are performed and recorded correctly, and that maintenance and alteration records are properly executed prior to return-to-service authorization.
* When authorized and properly qualified, perform return-to-service approvals for repaired, maintained, or altered articles.
