In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for ensuring quality product is received into the repair station by performing conformity inspections and coordinating non-conforming product dispositions within the compliance of AS9100 and FAA CFR 145 Repair Station requirements
**What You Will Do:**
+ Performs inspection of products received from approved suppliers using a variety of measuring devices and an approved sampling plan.
+ Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and specifications to verify conformance of arriving, in-process, and completed products.
+ Raises notifications of non-conformances, quarantines non-conforming product and, when approved to do so, provides disposition. Assists with the coordination of non-conforming product control activities.
+ Performs reviews and assessments of area/program performance. Identifies and addresses when a need for improvement is identified.
+ Collaborates internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.
+ Reports directly to, and supports other duties where delegated by, the Repair Station Quality Manager.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

+ Eligible for an FAA Repairmen Certification per 14 CFR Part 65.

Conduct in-process, final, and receiving inspections on aerospace components and assemblies with minimal supervision.
Identify, document, and drive resolution of non-conformances, partnering with Engineering and Manufacturing on root cause and corrective actions.
Verify calibration status and proper use of inspection equipment and tools.
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior inspectors, supporting training and inspection best practices.
Interface with engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams to proactively resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
Maintain accurate, detailed inspection records in compliance with AS9100D quality system requirements.
Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process optimization.
Work directly with departmental groups to create and maintain weekly management reports highlighting key quality risks and issues requiring action.
Review AkroFire purchase orders for Supplier Quality Requirements (SQR) compliance.
Drive and support key quality performance metrics including DPPM, OTD, Cost of Quality, Customer Scorecards, Internal Audit Risk & Effectiveness, Supplier Performance, and Contract Review.
Support the Quality Engineer with advanced technical and administrative activities.

Job Specifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Additional technical training or coursework is preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted where applicable.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in an aerospace or defense manufacturing inspection environment.
Demonstrated experience working independently and supporting complex inspection activities.
Skills
5-8 years of experience in Quality Inspection within the aerospace or defense manufacturing industry.
Advanced knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes with strong AS9102 experience.
Proficiency with Net-Inspect or similar digital FAI systems (preferred).
Expert ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
Strong working knowledge of AS9100D (or ISO9001:2015) Quality Management System requirements.
Advanced understanding of inspection tools and measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally and provide inspection guidance.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Experience with PDM and Epicor a plus.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
