Role Summary We are seeking a skilled and certified Automotive Maryland State Inspector to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities Perform Maryland State Safety Inspections in compliance with MVA regulations. Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using modern diagnostic tools and techniques. Conduct routine maintenance services to improve vehicle performance and reliability. Use Roda's tech tools to create clear, visual documentation (photos/videos) to explain recommended services. Communicate any non state inspection related recommendations in a customer-first way that prioritizes safety, reliability, and transparency. Occasionally transport customer vehicles as part of our mobile valet service. Requirements Current Maryland State Inspector License (or the ability to obtain it prior to start date). Strong technical background and hands-on experience in automotive repair and diagnostics. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Strong communication and customer service skills. Proficiency with electronic diagnostics and mobile reporting tools. Ability to work independently in a field-service environment. ASE certification(s) preferred but not required. These positions are for early career inspectors who will be responsible for reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings/Blueprints, complex wiring diagrams, and sketches to verify manufactured hardware is compliant with the requirements for hardware. Inspect hardware to the specifications and make decisions as to the acceptance of hardware according to criteria. Responsible for properly filling out nonconformance reports (defects) inspection tags, and other inspection documents as required. Physical requirements of this position will require standing, sitting, walking, light lifting, and bending to perform the job. Interfaces with the on site customer representatives (Navy On-Site team and/or DCMA) through product sell-off/acceptance. Member of the Product Quality Team to help enforce compliance to process and procedures throughout production build to ensure conforming product is delivered to the customer. Basic Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings 1 - 2 years hands on experience inspecting and/or 3-5 years hands on experience building/Assembling products (Mechanical and Electrical) Ability to receive and hold a secret level security clearance (Not required to start). Experience with Solumina and Microsoft Office Desired skills: Good communication skills IPC-610 and 620 or J-STD-001 certified Experience in a manufacturing environment Experience presenting product to customer for inspection Build experience in the production environment, working closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams.

Role Summary Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Virginia State Inspector responsible for performing official state safety and emissions inspections in accordance with Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) regulations. Your expertise will ensure that vehicles meet all state safety and emissions standards, providing our customers with confidence in their vehicle and reinforcing the integrity of our services. More about the role Conduct comprehensive Virginia state safety inspections and emissions testing on vehicles in compliance with all state laws and regulations. Identify and document any vehicle deficiencies or repairs needed to meet inspection and emissions standards. Clearly and professionally communicate inspection results to customers, including recommendations for necessary repairs. Maintain accurate records of inspections and emissions tests, including documentation of passed and failed vehicles, in accordance with state requirements. Stay current on all Virginia DMV and DEQ regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure full compliance. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of required repairs. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in alignment with safety protocols. Deliver excellent customer service by promptly and courteously addressing questions and concerns. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay sharp on industry standards and best practices. What we look for Valid Virginia State Safety Inspector License (required). Valid Virginia Emissions Inspector License (preferred or ability to obtain). Prior experience in automotive inspection or repair is a plus. Strong understanding of vehicle systems, state safety regulations, and emissions standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
