Duties and Responsibilities Compare measurements obtained on manufactured or purchased components to engineering drawing specifications (including GD&T). Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using a variety of precision gages and measurement systems. Conduct disassembly/teardown analysis on rejected parts to determine the root cause of failure or nonconformance. Document inspection and teardown findings and communicate results to engineering, production, and quality teams. Drive feedback into manufacturing processes to prevent recurrence of issues and support continuous improvement. Record inspection data in required formats and systems. Write non-conformance reports and maintain control of non-conforming material. Assist in corrective action and root cause analysis activities (5-Why, Ishikawa, etc.). Maintain equipment condition and perform basic preventative maintenance. Follow standardized work, safety procedures, and support 6S. Support company quality goals and manufacturing objectives. Monitor placement of pilings, reinforcing and structural steel, concrete, and backfill. Verifies lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using survey and field engineering equipment.
