Main Purpose:
To ensuring the quality, safety, and integrity of welded structures by inspecting materials and workmanship for compliance with industry codes, standards, and project specifications from start to finish..
Essential Functions:
Perform visual inspections of completed welds, checking for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, or incomplete fusion.
Measure weld dimensions to ensure they meet specifications
Oversee or perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, such as penetrant, magnetic particle, or ultrasonic testing
Document all inspection findings, including any non-conformances, and prepare detailed reports
Coordinate with welders, engineers, and clients to resolve any quality issues
Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and welding procedure specifications (WPS)
Verify that welding materials, such as base and filler metals, are compliant
Confirm welder qualifications and certification status
Inspect joint fit-up and monitor environmental conditions
Monitor welding operations to ensure they conform to approved procedures
Check for adequate fusion, proper cleaning between weld passes, and correct interpass temperatures
Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

What is an Occupancy Verification?
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is:
To verify property occupancy.
To report on the general condition of the property using a mobile application.
Most inspections are exterior only. About 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.
We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors.
Responsibilities
Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes.
Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned.
Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
Complete a short form in an app.
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory.

Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month.
Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect or are willing to cover a larger territory.
No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.

The NDT Advanced Services API Inspector is responsible for performing inspections in accordance with API standards designated equipment for purposes of recommending and approving repairs or certifying compliance. Essential Job Functions
* Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern
* Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values and Seven Critical Choices.
* Performs internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of fixed equipment.
* Recommends and approves repairs as well as performs visual inspection of completed repair work.
* Assists in scheduling activities related to inspection.
* Writes detailed inspection and turnaround reports, and maintains documentation of inspection activities.
* Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
* Communicate and deal with customers and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company. This communication is in person at the plant / job site.
* Complete all required training, including tests, within Company guidelines.
* Perform necessary filing of customer and company job related forms and paperwork.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Technical school or other related training preferred.
* Previous industry related experience preferred.
* Must possess valid API certification.
* Must possess valid Driver's License.
* Travel requirement: 0% - 50%.
Work Conditions
* Position is based out of a branch or site location.
* Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
* Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
* Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
* Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
* May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
* May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
* Candidate must be capable of climbing, working at high elevations and working in confined spaces.
Physical and Mental Requirements
* Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
* Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties.
* Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively.
