Job Title: Quality Inspector

Payrate: $23.75/hr.
Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 1:45pm-10:15pm
Description:
Responsible for performing and recording dimensional and visual inspection of parts, assemblies, and final product in coordination with the Engineering, Production, and Manufacturing Engineering departments.
Responsibilities:
Conduct all levels of product inspections using a variety of inspection instruments and equipment (e.g. CMM, micrometers, calipers, parallels, sine bars, height masters, optical comparator, Johnson gauges, etc.)
Verify compliance of finished hardware with drawing requirements based on shop practices as they relate to unfinished hardware.
Perform both detailed, assembly-level drawings with appropriate supporting documentation verifying actual results against drawing and/or specification requirements.
Correctly read and interpret detailed, assembly-level drawings and customer specifications.
Use shop mathematical calculations relative to the complexity of the project (e.g., GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, calculations for areas, angles, lengths, etc.)
Execute formal first article reports to AS9102 standards.
Mentor inspectors, as needed.
Use statistical process control (SPC) symbols and tools along with correct interpretation of associated control plans and charts.
Meet deadlines of assigned jobs while maintaining the integrity of the position.
Work closely with customer representatives during source inspections and audits.
Seek lean process improvements.
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED
1 year certificate from college or technical school OR 3-5 years related experience and/or training

Responsibilities
The Quality Team Lead will inspect products by using a variety of inspection tools/devices, work instructions and computer to perform a series of inspections to correctly verify incoming parts, in-process and completed assemblies.
Verify supplier material certifications, including special processes, and ensure compliance with quality/PO requirements.
Creates supporting documentation (data books, certificates of conformance, etc…)
Support disposition of discrepant materials (MRB) in accordance with appropriate quality procedures and maintain low inventory of on-hold parts.
Verifies first articles from suppliers and internal departments.
Prepares and processes records and reports to document supplier/operations performance.
Qualify supplier components and/or systems for assuring conforming product.
Adheres to calibrations system of inspection, measuring and test equipment.
Applies Statistical Quality Control techniques as directed.
Assist with interpretation of drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
Properly process goods for outside processing, investigates and evaluates component parts returned and nonconforming product.
The Quality Team Lead provides effective training to the quality control cell and ensures safety and quality standards are always maintained.
Work with supervisor to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.
Use basic problem-solving skills to ensure stable operation of the quality control cell.
Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to
Quality management.
Work closely with support staff such as Purchasing/Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues.
Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.
Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication.
Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Quality management.
Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Quality Control Inspector
who will report to the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor on the OQC team. Primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring proper procedures are followed for incoming electronic and mechanical parts and during the manufacturing and testing process. This role is also responsible for investigating any quality issues, anomalies, or failures and will work alongside engineering and suppliers to recommend any necessary changes or improvements.
This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies' HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform and document inspections of products and processes, including electronic cables, GPS devices, Wi-Fi dongles, connectors, mechanical enclosures, shields, and other critical components.
Conduct inspections tied to receiving raw materials, parts, components, and fit checks as necessary.
Ability to inspect First Article components and subassemblies.
Prepare in-process inspection reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Maintain Quality documentation.
Identify the serviceability of parts and components and appropriate tooling.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1-3 years of electronic part inspection experience.
Proficient experience utilizing inspection tools (i.e., multi-meters, calipers, micrometers, microscopes).
Demonstrated proficiency in reading basic schematics, specifically those related to PCBs and PWAs.
Read and interpret part documentation, including blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
Utilize Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and various communication systems effectively.
Identify and escalate potential issues.
Maintain clear and accurate records and documentation.

This is a full time role for a candidate who can identify the most effective defect recovery process for each item to minimize monetary loss of defective merchandise. Responsibilities:
Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. Participates in analysis statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards
Performs routine visual inspection of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
Participates in preparing all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items.
Qualifications:
Ability to follow detailed job instructions.
Able to apply a systematic Quality Assurance approach while using existing procedures to solve standard problems.
Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment.
Capable of identifying and independently resolving routine issues.
Experience with blueprints, drawings and parts lists.
Familiar with the casting, forging, molding, stainless-steel and electronic components use in Aerospace industry.
Education & Experience:
Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience
