The successful candidate will perform construction inspection and administration services, attend job project meetings, review estimates and change orders, and perform other duties as required.
Required Skills/Experience
Observe the Contractor's operations to verify the technical requirements of the Contracts are achieved on-site and report directly to the designated Project Engineer.
Verify that the Contractor adheres to its QC and Method Statement Submittals, Quality Control Plans and Work Plans.
Maintain accurate electronic shift records (DFI) of construction activities, including all labor, equipment, and materials employed in the work.
Liaise with Contractor's nominated supervisor on-site to identify and resolve nonconformances, safety hazards, and technical issues and problems.
Complete a Daily Field Report or Daily Field Instruction (DFI) in eBuilder, within 4 hours of shift completion, documenting the construction operations observed
Report safety deficiencies and environmental issues, such as spills to the Safety Specialist, Project Engineer and Resident Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Complete and file quality records including receiving files and non-conforming material reports.
* Proficiency in working alongside other departments when addressing problems or discrepancies and maintaining detailed records
* Count, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments in order to verify information against invoices, orders, or other records
* Experience reading mechanical drawings and able to verify parts dimensions against drawing/specification requirements
* Examine and unpack incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items
* Examine incoming shipments to ensure they meet specifications
* Ability to use various measurement devices (e.g., calipers, pin gauges, go/no-go gauges, micrometers, etc.)
* Excellent mechanical proficiency and keen attention to detail
* Ability to optimally interpret data and present as information and respond to questions from engineers and other technical staff
* Ensure that all documents and material received in the incoming inspection are of satisfactory quality
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma required
* Minimum 2 years' experience in quality control
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Ability to multitask and prioritize work activities based upon financial impact to desired business goals
* Demonstrated problem solving skills required
