We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. Complete a short form in an app. Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving while making numerous stops during the day in the assigned territory. Requirements (to be considered you must have the following): Computer with an internet connection Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you will be paying for your own gas) Smartphone (Android or iPhone) Printer Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $30-$40 per hour. Depending on a county and if it is urban or rural you will complete anywhere from 20-500 inspections per month working 2-30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month-to-month. Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect or are willing to cover a larger territory. No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
