JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining inventory and incoming inspection of raw materials and work in progress, including verification of mill certs. Documents any discrepancies and assures proper disposition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Inspects incoming product for quality assurance standards using current methodology and basic measurement techniques.
Communicates effectively throughout the day with Quality, Operations and Purchasing.
Documents nonconformances (red tags) of incoming products as required.
Problem solving of internal process related issues and develops corrective actions.
Advise on changes and implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
Back up other Quality Team Members as needed.
Performs various administrative activities as assigned.
Performs other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
Cross trained with other department Quality Inspectors.

Sheehy Auto Stores is seeking a skilled, experienced, and licensed Maryland State Inspector to join our team. As the MSI, you will be responsible for performing Maryland state inspections as well as troubleshooting issues for maximum reliability and functionality.
Responsibilities
Examine and diagnose vehicles
Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor
Communicate additional service requests to the service advisor
Plan work procedures in cooperation with the shop foreman
Provide labor time estimates to the service advisor
Monitor repair time and update the service advisor regularly
Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
Assist in mentoring technician trainees
Attend company and factory training
Keep current with factory technical bulletins
Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
Applies proper use of PPE and adheres to safety standards in the shop environment.
Must keep the vehicle you are working on clean and free of grease and oil
Requirements
Maryland State Inspection License Required
High school diploma or GED
One-three months of related experience and/or training
Must be authorized to work in the USA
Able to pass pre-employment background checks, MVR, and drug screen
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and certified Automotive Maryland State Inspector to join our growing team. In this dynamic role, you'll ensure vehicles are both roadworthy and compliant with Maryland state inspection standards-all while delivering best-in-class service to our customers where they are.
This role is ideal for a professional technician who's committed to safety, takes pride in precision work, and is excited about transforming the way people experience automotive service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Maryland State Safety Inspections in compliance with MVA regulations.
Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using modern diagnostic tools and techniques.
Conduct routine maintenance services to improve vehicle performance and reliability.
Use Roda's tech tools to create clear, visual documentation (photos/videos) to explain recommended services.
Communicate any non state inspection related recommendations in a customer-first way that prioritizes safety, reliability, and transparency.
Occasionally transport customer vehicles as part of our mobile valet service.
Requirements
Current Maryland State Inspector License (or the ability to obtain it prior to start date).
Strong technical background and hands-on experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with electronic diagnostics and mobile reporting tools.
Ability to work independently in a field-service environment.
ASE certification(s) preferred but not required.
