Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties and to do this they send out independent contractors. The purpose of the property inspection is: To verify property occupancy. We contract with inspectors at a county level. This means that you would be responsible to complete all inspections in your county. In some cases, you will split the county with another inspector if there is enough volume for two inspectors. Responsibilities Most common type of inspection should only take 5-6 minutes. Complete the inspection within 4 days after it is assigned. Report general property conditions and make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards.
