    We're seeking CEI Inspector Aids who will provide Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services for transportation projects located in the state of Georgia. This is entry level inspector work supporting higher level inspectors and engineers on assignments relating to highway and bridge construction inspection. Work is generally performed under technical and administrative supervision and may include other duties and responsibilities as assigned. This posting targets various counties in the state of Georgia. Training materials will be provided to obtain the required certifications. Responsibilities Will perform a range of routine and standardized work including, but not limited to, manual and/or electronic calculations, computations, and inspections of construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract. Will inspect truck load tickets for roadway aggregate base course; borrow material and asphaltic concrete at project field sites. Will perform a variety of simple materials sampling, inspection and/or testing. Will perform contract administrative duties, which may include field measurements of pay item quantities, project close-out, as well as other Department required documentation. May be required to use number of different pieces of equipment such as Slump Cone, Air Meter, Measuring Wheel/Tape, Thermometer, etc. Incumbents will be fully trained in the use of equipment necessary to accomplish their work. May be required to work at remote sites around construction equipment, drilling rigs, explosives and environment contamination. Skills and Attributes Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills. Possess excellent collaboration skills. POSITION SUMMARY The Inspector is responsible for observing and monitoring the delivery of material to verify conformance to quality and quantity specifications, while ensuring that all his/her efforts are compliant with the company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Duties may include assisting with daily production operations, as well as receiving and stockpiling of materials and products. Work Environment: Scrap metal yard, outdoor all-weather conditions. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for inspecting incoming customer loads for acceptable and non-acceptable materials. Maintain a broad and working knowledge of different types of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Identify and grade inbound scrap and reject unacceptable items. The Property Inspector will coordinate and perform property inspections and provide support to our underwriting teams, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and HUD by reviewing third-party reports. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate with senior underwriting leadership to create a system that provides a logistical approach to managing property inspections across all Agency products and markets. Calibrate with internal underwriting, the Third Party Administration team, and Agency partners to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines. Coordinate the site inspection with owner representatives and Agency representatives. Review third-party reports and coordinate with underwriting for report revisions and final reports. Complete lease audits, rent roll analysis, etc. Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required: 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate property inspections. Bachelor's Degree. Excellent communication, decision-making, and feedback skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize work. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Direct experience with Capital Needs Assessments (CNA), Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), and appraisals is preferred but not required. Travel will be required to perform site inspections nationwide, up to 75% of the time.
