The New York City Department of Investigation ("DOI") is one of the oldest law enforcement agencies in the country; its mission is to combat municipal corruption. DOI's Squad 4 seeks an Assistant Inspector General (AIG) who will lead and conduct criminal investigations into fraud and corruption relating to City agencies, employees and contractors. This position is within a unit that specializes in, among other things, embezzlement and fraud involving City contracts with the Economic Development Corporation and Departments of Health and Mental Hygiene, Citywide Administrative Services, Finance, and Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, among others. Possess excellent organizational skills and proven ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-pacedenvironment. 6.Experience with investigations into government agencies, procurement, and/or contracts. Take photos, collect property data, and upload your findings using your smartphone or tablet. Flexible Hours - Work during daylight hours, Monday through Saturday. Comfortable Working Outdoors - This role requires you to work in various weather conditions. Tech-Savvy - A recent smartphone or tablet capable of taking and storing hundreds of photos. Computer Access - Wi-Fi-enabled for uploading data. Reliable Vehicle & Driver's License - Travel to residential properties within your area. Strong Communication Skills - You're a professional and a persistent communicator. You're not someone who just disappears when things get tough. Microsoft Excel Familiarity - Basic computer skills are necessary for managing your inspections.
