TEKsystems has an immediate position for Telecom Trainer/Instructors to support our customer in various locations across the US. Trainers can sit anywhere in the United States, ideally Western part of US.
Position is responsible for interacting with customers professionally and courteously, remotely or in person to review and discuss service order requirements. Persons in this position will be expected to: evaluate customers' service needs in addition to recognizing and suggesting additional/alternative services as appropriate. Position is responsible for training people in installing, repairing, and testing residential and small business telecommunication services and broadband products and services. Will be training technicians for enabling wireless/wired networks on company-approved modems/routers, connecting wires and cables to terminals, and attaching/detaching various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, buildings, poles and inside facilities from the cross-connect or serving terminal up to and inside the customer's home.

Position Overview
The general role of the Fiber Sensing Installation Technician - Fiber Optics is to serve as an on-site resource to oversee the proper installation of fiber optic cable for a variety of purposes such as pipeline monitoring. The Fiber Sensing Installation Technician is also responsible for terminating, splicing, documenting, and testing fiber optic cables with an end goal of meeting customer needs and providing maximum operating efficiency. The work performed will be on active construction sites.
This individual has a strong knowledge of fiber optic installation with a basic understanding of excavation standards and practices and must become proficient with the products and services offered by Pillar Innovations. This position will require a flexible schedule to include extended hours, nights, weekends, and travel with overnight stays as needed.
The Fiber Sensing Installation Technician will report to the Project Manager - Fiber Optics and will work primarily in the Carlsbad, NM and Odessa, TX area.
What You'll Do
* Provide communication and oversight to contractors and customer personnel to ensure fiber deployment is to spec, undamaged, and in good working condition
* Periodically conduct oversight OTDR testing to ensure fiber reels and cable remain in operational condition during deployment
* Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
* Provide project updates on a consistent basis regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress
* Troubleshoot and repair common fiber optic equipment and component issues to include OTDR testing, reporting, and troubleshooting
* Suggest and execute corrective actions to address problems affecting any fiber or fiber related equipment
* Collaborate with customer and management to develop a strategic deployment plan that streamlines installation and minimizes excess cable waste

Communicate with clients, project managers, and inspectors to ensure project specifications are met.
Monitor inventory and equipment needs, ensuring that supplies are readily available for each project.
Review and approve installation records, reports, and documentation for accuracy.
Uphold high standards of safety and compliance, ensuring all team members adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of Residential or Commercial HVAC Installation experience.
Experience with leading a 2+man crew.
EPA Universal Certification required
Exceptional customer communication skills.

An enthusiastic and positive individual eager to embrace challenges.
Physically able to work on HVAC units - Must be able to lift 75 pounds at a time.

Job Summary
The Plumbing installer works independently or as part of a team to install residential plumbing systems and solutions, and leads customers to informed and confident buying decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
* Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
* Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers and levels.
* Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines.
* Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers and water heaters, and fixtures such as sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools.
* Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools.
* Hang supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place.
* Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains.
* Use electrical demolition hammers, excavators, trenching equipment for underground plumbing installation and repair.
* Install underground storm, sanitary and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to these systems.
