Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Customer Technical Training Specialists (Subject Matter Expert and Senior Level) to support the Training Team in Seattle, WA.
The primary focus of this role is to develop, conduct and evaluate the effectiveness of technical training. This focus requires the analyses of customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives, and design. Additional duties of the role include research, courseware updates, and the development of new media in support of customer training.
This is an on-site Seattle position and is primarily a 1st shift position but occasional adjustments to support classes, meeting, workshops, etc. are occasionally required.
Position Responsibilities:
Independently conducts customer training in broad subject areas using the approved medium to satisfy customer training requirements.
Conducts analyses to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives, and design.
Develops, conducts, and evaluates effectiveness of technical training. Uses specialized software to research, configure, maintain, update, and develop new and existing media and materials.
Travel both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
Ability to adjust shift. This position is primarily a 1st shift position but occasional adjustments to support classes, meeting, workshops, etc.
Works under general supervision.
May be asked to support other programs or perform other duties as needed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
FAA A&P/Aircraft Electronics Technician Certification or EASA B1 and B2.
Experienced in electrical and electronics troubleshooting.
Formal Electrical or Avionics Training (degreed or military).
Experience interpreting commercial technical data including drawings, maintenance, and operations manuals.
Experience conducting technical training and/or performing instructional system development.
5+ years' experience in aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting (Time you were the technician physically working on the airplane with tools in hand).
Capable of traveling 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.).
Component Level Troubleshooting and Repair.
2+ years' experience conducting technical training on large complex commercial aircraft.
Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering Degree (preferred).

INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS DESIGNER
SUMMARY: Applies formalized educational processes to develop training programs for employees of industrial, commercial, service, or government organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Applies instructional systems methodology (e.g., Instructional Systems Development, Systems Approach to Training, or Training Systems Development) to ensure integrity of the training development process

Engages with client stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to solicit information as required during all phases of the project, and to provide suggestions or feedback where appropriate
Facilitates or actively participates in meetings - in person and virtually - to solicit information required for learning design and development activities
Designs and collaborates in development of learning resources in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, and animation technologies to support project requirements:
Designsinstructor-led training using training methods and multi-media products that engage participants and facilitate the transfer of knowledge or skills
Designs web-based training that engages participants through interactive exercises, videos, and animations
Uses creative writing to generate video scripts, scenarios, case studies and other products that enhance the learning process

ABOUT PROGRAM:
We are seeking enthusiastic applicants for our Summer Camp Technology Teacher and Assistant positions!
Tech Academy teaches week-long technology classes. We offer Minecraft, Movie Making, Video Game Design, Legos, and Robotics classes for students ages 6-14.
Ideal applicants for Teacher positions are college students/graduates with experience with elementary-age children or licensed teachers. Ideal applicants for Assistant positions are tech-savvy college students or those qualified for the Lead Teacher position looking for a more relaxed role in the classroom. Many of our past employees were able to use our positions to satisfy internship requirements.
Classes run in-person at Seattle, Mercer Island, Kent & Burien Monday-Friday, and you will need to be available from 8 am to 5 pm from June 16th to August 15th.
Our headquarter location is in Roseville, Minnesota. We arrange to have the equipment mailed to you, and you will mail the equipment back to us (at our cost).
Training and Equipment:
Before teaching or assisting, teachers complete 15+ hours of online training on essential camp management and leadership skills and then complete a virtual 3+ hour employee orientation (done via Zoom). We provided all the equipment and curriculum needed to teach classes.

**What You'll Do:**

**What We're Looking For:**

What You'll Do
The Early Learning Specialist is responsible for providing home visits to families with young children within the YWCA's Family Housing programs which range from an extended shelter program with integrated services for homeless families to transitional housing and permanent housing. This position has a social justice component that requires critical thinking through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty.
Scheduling: Open to flexible schedules, open to evenings and weekends
NOTE: Please know this position will require independent travel throughout King CountyExpectations of your role:
85% of your time will be spent traveling to and from home visits
Model how to use books and educational toys for generating enthusiasm for learning and verbal interactions.
Provide two visits per week for our core families with children age 16 months to 4 years old and home-based childcare program
Maintain and manage a caseload of 11-12 families monthly including ongoing recruitment to ensure a full roster
Maintain accurate and up to date files and data for your case load
Work hours convenient for the parents and children being visited, flexibility in scheduling
Provide age and culturally competent services
Must meet outcomes for services delivery and provide documentation
Apply strength-based model as a method of delivering services for all families
Attend weekly team meeting with Site Coordinator and other parent child home visitors
Attend training for the Parent Child Home visiting program provided by the Site Coordinator or National Center for Parent Child Home Visitor Program
Must have's to be successful:
Must have valid Washington State Driver License, personal vehicle, insurance, and an acceptable driving record. No more than 2 moving violation within a year period and no accidents within 3 years.
Experience working with young children
Knowledge of child development
Must have experience doing community outreach
Bilingual - Somali speaking preferred
Experience managing and maintaining data
Ability to make home visits as needed and to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends when necessary
Demonstrated knowledge and skills of basic computer competencies such as emailing and calendaring
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team and to make sound judgments without on-site supervision
Experience working effectively & respectfully in a multicultural setting; thorough understanding of culturally specific community
