Collaborate with teachers to enhance the overall learning of all students including the identification of students that require additional support and/or accommodations to meet grade-level standards.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Possess a strong Christian faith with a solid knowledge of the Bible, a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a demonstrated character of integrity. Believe and actively support the school's Statement of Faith.
Possess a passion for Christian education and student discipleship. Individual must be comfortable connecting the biblical truths and worldview perspectives to their students' lives.
Ability to present subject matter according to guidelines established by administrative regulations, Board policies and state/national standards.
Assists with conducting benchmark assessments and conducts additional diagnostic assessments as needed.
Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention instruction that is individualized, targeted and effective in closing the gap between students' current performance and grade level standards according to grade level and student needs.
Teaches Connections (academic and executive functioning strategies) courses in order to provide students with explicit study skills instruction and additional support with classroom assignments, as assigned.
Teaches remedial courses for students who are below grade level in math or reading/language arts, as assigned.
Sets clear expectations and directions for student engagement in the learning process.
Uses hands on teaching tools/manipulatives including technology to enhance student learning and achievement.
Conducts progress monitoring assessments throughout the implementation of the students' intervention plans in order to adjust instructional activities/strategies appropriately in response to growth or lack of growth and collect information for potential special education referrals.
Comfort with or openness to learning school management software and other online teaching tools such as Google Classroom and the Google suite. Proficient in required technology including but not limited to classroom management software (FACTS), Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc), NWEA MAP, SmartBoard, and internet.
Ability to work with all functions - administration, support staff, other faculty, and students.
Bachelor's degree from accredited college/university-Special Education Preferred.
Special education teaching experience.
Valid teaching license
Appropriate licensure in subject area(s).
Experience working with IEPs and 504s.

ABOUT PROGRAM:
We are seeking enthusiastic applicants for our Summer Camp Technology Teacher and Assistant positions! Tech Academy teaches week-long technology classes throughout Minnesota.
Ideal applicants for Teacher positions are college students/graduates with experience with elementary-age children or licensed teachers. Ideal applicants for Assistant positions are tech-savvy high school or college students or those qualified for the Lead Teacher position looking for a more relaxed role in the classroom. Many of our past employees used our positions to satisfy internship requirements.
As a teacher or assistant, you will be driving to your site, typically a school or community education building. You will be responsible for bringing 2-3 plastic bins of equipment per class, which you will set up in a classroom before students arrive. You will need a vehicle to transport class equipment. Our headquarters location is in Roseville, Minnesota. Training and equipment exchange is held at our headquarters. Teachers/Assistants will be required to visit the headquarters every 1 to 3 weeks during the summer.
Training and Equipment:
Before teaching or assisting, teachers complete 12 hours of online training on essential camp management and leadership skills and then complete an in-house 12-hour employee orientation. We provided all the equipment and curriculum needed to teach classes.
Pay:
Teachers (camps hours): $18-$24 an hour
Assistants $14-$18 an hour
Prep and training: $11.50 an hour

About the Job PDL Marketing Course Developer and Instructor The Adjunct Teaching Specialist is a temporary (per course), part-time, non-tenured for our Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Programs. The Marketing Certificate Course Developer will be responsible for developing and teaching
one or more of the following course topics:
● Marketing Analytics and Strategic Applications
● Introduction to Digital Marketing Strategy and Planning
● Social Media Marketing and Content Strategy
● SEO and Analytics for Digital Marketing
● Integrated Digital Marketing Campaigns
The Adjunct Teaching Specialist will collaborate with an instructionaldesigner and
program manager to develop 6-week non-credit course(s) during the first approximately
six months of the position. Course development typically takes 6 months, with the first
course offering taking place shortly after development ends.
After developing a course, the Adjunct Teaching Specialist will teach the course using
the developed curriculum. The courses are fully online and use a blend of synchronous
and asynchronous instructional methods. Live instruction is done through a weekly
Zoom session. Asynchronous instruction is done through the university's learning
management system, Canvas.
Each course will last 6 weeks. During the instructional phase of this position, the Adjunct
Teaching Specialist is expected to be engaged and available for a total of 11 weeks,
including the 2 weeks prior to the course start date and 3 weeks after the course end
date.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Course Development 60%
1. Create clear, succinct, and measurable outcomes for the course.
2. Identify, sequence, and structure the topics the course will address in each
module.
3. Develop learning activities and course media that support the course learning
outcomes.
4. Develop learning assessments that allow learners to demonstrate achievement
of the learning outcomes.
5. Collaborate with an instructionaldesigner, program manager, and other
university staff throughout the course development process.
6. Follow the requirements for course development laid out in the course
development handbook.
Section Prep 5%
1. Record and post introduction video.
2. Send course introduction email.
3. Verify dates and contents of course site are correct. Make any needed updates
and corrections.
4. Open the course and modules.
Live Instruction 10%
1. Prepare for weekly Zoom sessions following a structure provided by the pre-
designed curriculum.
2. Facilitate weekly zoom sessions as scheduled by the department and following
the expectations in the instructor handbook. .
Learning Assessment and Feedback 20%
1. Evaluate submitted work to determine if each learner has achieved the course
learning objectives.
2. Provide feedback to learners to help them develop the knowledge, skills, and
abilities needed to achieve the course learning outcomes.
3. Submit final grades.
Support Learners 5%
1. Respond to learner questions about course content and logistics by email or
other communication means within the learning management system.
2. Meet with learners by Zoom as needed and at mutually agreed upon times to
provide assistance in understanding course content and activities.

● Experience teaching adult learners in both live and asynchronous contexts
● Experience developing and/or teaching topics related to the subject matter
● Ability to evaluate assessments (e.g. course projects) to determine if they
demonstrate achievement of course learning outcomes.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: Compensation is paid on a per course basis. For development, the Adjunct Teaching
Specialist will be paid $5,400 per course. For instruction, the Adjunct Teaching Specialist
will be paid $2,713 per course.
