GENERAL SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies principles of adult learning theory such as the A.D.D.I.E model, to the evaluation, design and development of all synchronous and asynchronous learning content, activities and experiences. Follows all current industry best practices to deliver the curated course content
Evaluates instructional requirements to ensure relevance, quality, and consistency, offering consultation for all courses to foster the development of engaging and educationally sound emergency nursing learning experiences. Ensures alignment with policies, standards, and educational objectives, while providing timely updates and necessary revisions.
Conducts research on emerging digital instructional technologies and recommends their integration as instructionaldesign solutions for the development of innovative delivery modalities and digital learning experiences. Utilizes existing learning management systems and digital development tools, including Articulate, Adobe, and TechSmith Camtasia, Canva to enhance instructional content.

Overview of Position
Under the supervision of the Director of SEL, the Social Emotional Learning Specialist (SEL Specialist) will play a critical role in the implementation of the positive culture at By The Hand. The SEL Specialist will provide counseling and support to students, and work with students, parents and staff to develop plans for student success. This position will begin in September and last 32 weeks. Those weeks exclude holiday breaks.
