Accountabilities In this role, you will: Apply instructional systems design (ISD) methodologies to develop lesson plans, vignettes, quick guides, and role-based learning modules. Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather feedback and ensure training content aligns with operational needs. Update and maintain curriculum and training materials to reflect changes in procedures, technologies, or policies. Evaluate existing training materials and recommend improvements to enhance learning effectiveness. Ensure all instructional content meets quality standards and operational requirements. Support the implementation of training programs across multiple platforms or learning environments. Requirements Candidates should have: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred). 3-5 years of experience designing curriculum, lesson plans, vignettes, and role-based training, ideally aligned with DoD or USAF requirements. Experience developing training for mission planning systems such as JMPS, JOMS, or NOMS preferred. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with SMEs and stakeholders. Ability to travel and reside within 2-3 hours of Scott AFB, IL. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design best practices. Independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; requires deep job knowledge of area typically obtained through higher education combined with experience. Manages large projects or processes and problems faced are difficult and often complex; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures. Essential Functions: ● Assist with the creation and maintenance of tutorials, tools, and templates based on quality standards and instructional design principles to accelerate the efficient and effective design and development of online courses and to meet the specific needs of the disciplines and programs. ● Work with multiple deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment. ● Work closely with the Faculty Development Coordinator and other stakeholders to provide quality customer service to faculty and staff dedicated to professional development related to online teaching and learning. ● Serve as project lead for online course design and development projects, coordinating with stakeholders, including faculty developers and online program coordinators, to ensure project goals are met on time and within departmental specifications. ● Work with supervisor to identify the areas of most importance and best avenues to pursue. ● Working a part of a team as well as individually, provide effective instructional design consultation and direct support to academic programs and faculty preparing to as well as teaching online. ● Support the programs and activities of the Extended Studies staff.
