The Floor Care and Window Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming healthcare environment by performing specialized cleaning and maintenance of floors throughout the facility. This includes stripping and waxing, scrubbing, and buffing various floor types, as well as cleaning interior and exterior windows to ensure clarity and appearance. Working in patient care areas, operating rooms, and public spaces,the technician adheres strictly to infection control protocols, safety standards and HIPAA guidelines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent customer service to all patients, residents, customers and co-workers. • Clean interior and exterior windows and glass surfaces to high standard, clarity and appearance.

• Use of commercial cleaning equipment including auto-scrubbers and floor machines, squeegees, water fed poles, pressure washers and extension ladders.

• Perform waste removal duties including infectious and hazardous waste, sharps disposal, recycling and trash disposal, and linen transport.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Prioritizes and organizes work efficiently to meet department timelines.
• Completes mandatory educational requirements of Winona Health caregivers.
• Keeps an open mind and demonstrates a willingness to learn new methods, procedures, and techniques that embrace change.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• High School/GED Equivalent.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision. • Previous floor care tech/window cleaning experience preferred but not required.
