Jazz Studies Instructors - Open Pool 2025

Overview:


The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance (SMTD) at Colorado State University is seeking applications for a pool of Jazz Studies Instructors to teach jazz studies courses in the music division and coordinate special programs. This is an open pool and applications will be reviewed throughout the calendar year.
Responsibilities:

* Teach jazz studies courses in the music division

* Coordinate special programs and events

* Engage in professional development and stay current in the field of jazz studies

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Music, plus five years of significant professional jazz performance, arranging, and/or experience, depending on the course being taught at CSU

* Documented teaching experience at the college or university level (preferred)

* Master's degree in Music (preferred)
