Overview:
The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry is seeking a tenure-eligible Assistant or Associate Professor or ranked non-tenure-track Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering the pre-doctoral orthodontic education program, teaching pre-doctoral dental students and orthodontic residents, and contributing to research.
Responsibilities:

* Administer the pre-doctoral orthodontic education program

* Teach pre-doctoral dental students and orthodontic residents in the classroom, laboratory, and clinic

* Provide patient care and service in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics

* Conduct research and contribute to the department's research endeavors

* Participate in departmental and university service activities

Qualifications:

* A certificate from a CODA-accredited Advanced Education Residency Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics or equivalent

* A DDS/DMD or equivalent with eligibility for Missouri Dental Faculty licensure

* Commitment to teaching and service

* For tenure-eligible faculty positions, applicants must also present:

+ An active research schema and demonstrated success or potential for success in obtaining external funding as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator

+ Prior experience or demonstrated ability to teach didactic and clinical courses in an advanced dental education program

+ Evidence of service to and/or participation in organizations which work to advance dental education and research
