AVEKA is seeking a maintenance technician with a background in electrical systems to join our Maintenance team! This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, trouble shooting equipment issues, and ensure safe, efficient operation of all facility systems. Duties and Responsibilities: Adhere to all established AVEKA safety, LO/TO (Lockout/Tagout), Food safety, GMP, HACCP, and Processing policies Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Conduct routine preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems Install, maintain and/or repair: motors, pumps, sensors, wiring, breakers etc. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals Perform electrical troubleshooting on 480V/240V systems. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to create, track and close work orders. Also use this software to log maintenance activities and update equipment records. Assist with building maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting and general repairs. Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to improve equipment reliability. Be available for scheduled after-hours work as well as emergency situations that may arise at any time. Other duties as assigned. Experience with load cells, weight displays, metal detectors, pneumatic cylinders, variable frequency drive wiring and parameter entering, bag sealer knowledge, and conveyors. Recognition that maintenance work can happen in a wide variety of spaces.
