**Physical Requirements:**

+ Completion of Leadership Level I Leadership (Supervision) is preferred

Hale Centre Theatre is seeking an experienced Lighting Maintenance Electrician to take ownership of the daily upkeep and long term reliability of our advanced theatrical lighting systems. This is not an entry level position, it's a pivotal, hands on role for someone who knows their way around moving lights, atmospherics, dimmers, and LEDs, and who takes pride in keeping every fixture running like new.
In this role, you'll be the point person for diagnosing issues, executing repairs, and ensuring system integrity across multiple productions. You'll work in a venue where intelligent lighting, video, and automation are fully integrated, and where speed, precision, and consistency are essential. You'll collaborate closely with a talented lighting team and report to the Lighting Supervisor, playing a key part in both day to day operations and long range planning.
Our ideal candidate has experience in professional, technically complex environments, such as large regional theaters, Cirque du Soleil-style productions, or theme park entertainment. You're methodical, safety conscious, fluent in lighting systems, and thrive under the pressure of show schedules and high expectations. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, and maintain moving lights (High End Systems, Ayrton, Chauvet, Elation, etc.)
Maintain atmospheric systems (MDG, Ultratec, Showven, Antari), including CO₂ tanks and Dewars
Service LED tape, practicals, dimmers, relays, and conventional fixtures
Prepare for show changeovers: fixture addressing, wiring, cleaning, and full system checks
Track issues, parts, and repairs in MaintainX; manage QR coding and equipment records
Support install and strike workflows as needed
Maintain shop organization, gobo libraries, and fluid and powder inventories
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in professional lighting maintenance or show support
Expertise in DMX, RDM, wireless protocols, and ETC Eos systems
Electrical wiring, soldering, and diagnostic skills (fixture teardown and repair required)
Comfort working at height and operating lifts, ladders, and EWPs
Ability to lift 120 lbs and meet physical demands of the role
Clear communicator and self motivated team member with strong organizational habits
Bonus if You Have
Experience with CO₂ systems, Dewars, or atmospheric pressure gear
Familiarity with production prep workflows and repertory style schedules
Interest in equipment testing, upgrade planning, and cross department collaboration
