Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
* Safely wire and connect/disconnect electrical equipment with various AC/DC voltages up to 600VAC

Key Responsibilities:

Assists in remote troubleshooting when VVF engineering assistance is required.

Performs a wide variety of service work in one or more specialized maintenance area such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, or machine servicing.
Installs new machines by installing conduit, wire and electrical equipment; using hand tools and test equipment.
Repairs electrical systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning electrical devices, determining faulty wiring; inspecting and testing.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Performs general manual labor work.
Performs all duties in a safe manner, utilizing safety practices and procedures required by VVF and applicable law (e.g. OSHA, etc.), personal protective equipment, and reporting procedures. Reviews all pertinent safety material before conducting new assignments.
Monitors for, and reports unusual occurrences to management.
Maintains all equipment and facilities in a clean, orderly and operating condition.
Trains other employees as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least 10 years related electrical maintenance or electrician experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Electrical trade school/certification strongly preferred.
Knowledge of AC power from 480 volts to 120 volts and DC power 12 to 24 required.
Knowledge of control systems preferred.

PURPOSE:
