Kleinfelder is seeking an Air Quality Leader to join our team in Utah. This candidate will foster relationships with clients, work closely with local operations, and will assist in the development of client-centric delivery teams that will position us for extraordinary growth in the years to come. This candidate will support project management, technical execution, team leadership, and strategic client and business development for public and private sector clients in Utah and the surrounding states. The candidate for this position will sit in our Salt Lake City office and be in a position to leverage the Kleinfelder Ecosystem to expand this service line with existing and new clients. The selected candidate will work in our team-oriented environment, collaborating and communicating effectively, exercising project authority, and mentoring project team members, while work independently to accomplish goals and objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES This individual will be responsible for management of Air Quality Permitting and Compliance projects, including, but not limited to: * Management of permitting and compliance projects from initial client engagement and proposing to execution of projects. * Serve internal and external Air Quality Permitting and Compliance point of contact. * Provide technical expertise to clients with regards to air quality permitting and compliance. * Provide high standard of quality assurance/quality control through review of project deliverables. * Mentor and manage junior staff and project level compliance professionals. * Develop and implement strategy for business development with existing and new clients. * Provide health and safety support for projects. EXPERIENCE & ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS * Minimum of 10 years of related air quality experience with 5+ years of staff management experience. * Minimum of 5 years of air quality consulting project management experience and proven responsibility with scope / schedule / budget. * Minimum of 5 years direct client engagement experience. * Knowledge of federal, state, and local air quality regulatory agency laws, regulations, and permitting requirements. * Preferred experience in the following: * Air quality permitting * Dispersion modeling * Title V permitting and compliance reporting * Greenhouse gas analysis * Annual emissions reporting * Toxic Release Inventory reporting * Compliance auditing * Experience in the oil and gas, power, and industrial markets is preferred. * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other related field. Advanced degree(s) preferred. * Advanced computer skills with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and Power Point. * Professional License is not required but preferred. Ability to obtain professional registration in Utah (e.g., PE) a plus. Michael Baker International is hiring a Director of Architecture to lead strategic growth for our local team and strengthen our Integrated Design and Advisory presence. This leadership role will guide architectural resources across our multi-disciplinary practice and evolving market sectors, driving goals, values, and growth strategies. Encourage uniformly high design and production standards and monitors projects to ensure that quality and production standards are met for all design and contract documents. Foster a continuous learning culture by encouraging communication and the sharing of ideas and technical knowledge through mentoring, in-house presentations, case studies, and continuing education opportunities. Build rapport and establish positive relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure client-focused performance. Actively participate with professional and community-focused organizations to grow relationships and introduce/educate potential clients towards the Architecture/Building Engineering Practice at Michael Baker International. ADDITIONAL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Establish and promote collective leadership presence within the Salt Lake City Office, reporting “in-person” to the physical office approximately three (3) days per week. This local leadership position provides oversight and direction for all our local IDA resources, as well as evolving Market Sectors; and encompasses establishing and implementing goals and objectives, developing and promoting IDA's values and strategic plans, and positioning for growth. Regularly attend local industry and client events representing the comprehensive capabilities of IDA to promote brand awareness. Collaborate office space needs with Infrastructure Office Executive. Serve as the main point of contact for IDA within the Salt Lake City Office. Organize IDA meetings, events, and team-building activities monthly. Foster a positive and inclusive office culture. Provide administrative support to senior leadership as needed. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS BS/BA Architecture; Bachelor of Architecture; or MS/MA Architecture. with active licensure as a Registered Architect (RA) in the State of Utah. NCARB Certification is required, given potential projects geography. American Institute of Architects (AIA) membership is highly preferred. LEED Accredited Professional BD+C is highly preferred. Strong leadership with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the design, documentation, and management of multi-disciplinary architecture/building engineering projects and staff resources beyond initial licensure.
