The first organised pilgrimages begin as early as 1880.
Knock Shrine Society is established on the 21st August 1935 by Dame Judy Coyne and her husband Liam Ua Cadhain with the approval of the then Archbishop of Tuam, Most Rev.

Almost on the morrow of the apparition a pilgrimage came from Limerick to Knock; the City of Cork soon followed; and the first organized pilgrimage from the United States arrives this year (1949).

A large Basilica was built in the 1970's to offer shelter to the large number of pilgrims attending mass in Knock.
Knock was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Seattle, WA.
Knock® was co-founded in 2014 by Tom Petry and Demetri Themelis, long-time friends and Wall Street veterans who were frustrated by their experiences trying to communicate with apartment communities, both as prospects and as residents.
2019 marks the 140th anniversary of the Apparition at Knock.
A special ceremony is held at the Apparition Chapel on March 19th 2021, the Feast of St Joseph, with a special address by Pope Francis via video link.
Today, Knock proudly serves millions of units operated by the fastest-growing management organizations in multifamily, and has been named multiple times to the Best Places to Work in Seattle and BuiltIn Seattle’s Best Small Companies to Work For, most recently in 2022.
