Responsibilities * Collect, label, and track samples from various plant processes and incoming materials. * Prepare and distribute samples for laboratory analysis, ensuring chain-of-custody integrity. * Perform or coordinate laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. * Interpret and document test results, identifying trends or deviations from specifications. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all quality activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions. * Prepare and review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for outgoing products. * Ensure all quality documentation meets regulatory and customer requirements. * Develop, review, and update SOPs for sample collection, testing, and quality control processes. * Train plant and lab personnel on SOPs and quality best practices. * Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action processes. * Serve as a liaison between the plant, lab, and quality management teams. * Communicate quality issues and resolutions clearly to all stakeholders. * Promote and adhere to safe practices and sustainable operations in line with environmental and safety standards. Essential Skills * Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field preferred. * 5+ years of experience in a quality manufacturing environment. * 5+ years of quality control, quality assurance, GMP leadership experience. * Familiarity with laboratory testing methods, quality management systems, and regulatory standards (ISO, etc.). * Lab experience related to ICP and Cytiva AKTA Chromatography. * Experience managing quality employees. * Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This Summer Internship will assist with the Forever in Your Heart bereavement program, a unique initiative that supports Parkview's perinatal loss families by using 3D scanning and 3D printing to create personalized keepsake mementos. The role offers hands-on experience in applied medical simulation and advanced manufacturing technologies in a clinical education setting. Design engineering process experience and technical skills with CAD software, SLA or FDM additive manufacturing, two-part RTV rubber molding, soldering, programming, data collection, or other engineering-related skills are highly recommended for this position. The Simulation Lab is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our Medical Simulation team. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in both the technical and educational aspects of medical simulation. Interns will assist in the daily operations and facilitation of simulation-based training events, helping to create realistic learning experiences for healthcare professionals and students. In addition to supporting on-site simulations, the intern will also be able to work on mobile simulation projects deployed at various Parkview facilities and EMS service locations. A key component of this internship includes collaboration with the 3D printing team on projects that support simulation and medical training. Interns will learn how to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain simulation equipment, including manikins and supporting technology. They will also participate in scenario setup and breakdown and assist with technical support during live simulation events. While previous experience with simulation or AV equipment is not required, it is a plus.
