Job Summary
The Technology Research Technician position is a 12-month, full-time, and grant funded position with the possibility of renewal annually, contingent upon performance and continued availability of funding. The Technician works in close collaboration with the Activity Director, Co-Activity Director, project staff, faculty, students, and external partners to ensure effective implementation, fidelity, and long-term sustainability of the program. Key responsibilities include developing and establishing a novel Mixed Reality/Virtual Reality (MR/VR) teaching module, maintaining and supporting activities within the STEM Imaging Exploration Center, managing research equipment, and overseeing class activities. The role requires strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to support both instructional and research objectives in a collaborative academic environment.

Responsibilities
* Keep the regular record of proper functioning of technology equipment and software licenses in the program and notify director and co-director for any specific maintenance needs on regular basis.
* Provide training for professors and interns to ensure proficiency in operating equipment and software essential to the activities in the program. Especially collaborate with faculty integrating the Anatomage Table into Human Anatomy & Physiology courses.
* Supervise the interns and assist students and professors who use the MR/VR system in and out of classes.
* Assist activity director and co-activity director in the planning and execution of the program events, community workshops, and workshops for STEM students and faculty.
* Coordinate professional development workshops with a coordinator to prepare STEM faculty for teaching and learning using technology under the supervision of the director and/or co-directors.
* Help the activity director and co-activity director to coordinate with student employees working with virtual reality center and research labs.
* Maintain and update the program website with up-to-date information. The technician is expected to assist in the development of activity reports.
* Maintain an inventory of equipment, manage the equipment logbook, and coordinate the ordering and upkeep of supplies in collaboration with other staff members and students.
* Support the entire program, so that the goals and objectives of the program are accomplished in a timely and exemplary manner.
* May be required to perform job related duties other than those specifically delineated in this position
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in STEM, educational technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
* At least one year of experience working with instructional or research technology (MR/VR, simulation systems, or similar). Equivalent training or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
Proposed Salary
The proposed salary for this position is $50,000.00 annually.

* Proficiency in advanced computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe tools.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GEOTECHNICAL / CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN
Working under the immediate supervision of a registered professional engineer, you work as a team member alongside site managers, general contractors, and engineers to perform the required inspection or sampling services at various environmentally regulated solid waste landfill construction projects. You monitor general contractor activities, onsite testing, and reporting of earthwork and soil construction as well as geosynthetic baseliner, closure cap, piping, and gas extraction systems. In addition, you actively collect concrete, soil, and other site materials for testing in order to ensure construction standards and specifications are being met.

Key Duties
* Follow the directions and instructions of the Quality Control Manager.
* Conduct sampling and testing in accordance with applicable SCDOT, AASHTO, and ASTM standards.
* Perform daily equipment verifications as instructed by the Quality Control Manager.
* Perform or assist in performing all necessary equipment calibrations as directed by the Quality Control Manager.

Job Summary:
Performs select diagnostic testing and basic activities necessary to provide laboratory testing services. Testing scope may cross several laboratory disciplines such as hematology, urinalysis, and/or chemistry. Minimal interpretation and judgement are required to perform analytical processes.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Have full knowledge of laboratory procedures and processes per protocol, laboratory manual, shipping manual, etc.
Assist the laboratory manager in site preparation for study conduct.
Assist in the creation of laboratory documents (i.e. harvest logs, etc.)
Assist in the preparation of collection tubes, vials, study supplies for visits.
Monitor temperature of laboratory sample storage and address any excursions.
Maintain harvest logs, chain of custody, laboratory sample manifest/inventory logs and/or memos.
Pack and properly label all study materials for storage or return to sponsor upon study close out.
Obtains samples per protocol, performs select diagnostic tests or limited high complexity testing and documents process in source documents.
Assists in gathering data for validations on select instrumentation.
Assists with monitoring supply inventory.
Stores samples in an upright position in appropriate shipping boxes in the freezer.  Stores primary and secondary samples in separate shipping boxes.
Ensures freezer/refrigerator temperature is within range for protocol and ensures appropriate logs are kept.
Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies.

Calling in prescriptions
Triaging patients and assisting physicians with patients and procedures
Administering tympanometry exams for ear pressure
Managing hospital consultation requests for physicians
Floating between front and back office responsibilities as needed
Scanning patient records and other information as necessary
Contacting insurance companies to pre-certify tests and procedures for Physicians
Providing excellent customer service to patients
Other duties as assigned
