The Greenskeeper I position is responsible for maintaining the golf courses, including the turf and surrounding grounds as directed by the Golf Course Superintendents.
Responsibilities
Operate hand mowers on greens, aprons, tees, fairways, rough, lake banks, around tees and grounds.
Exercises extreme care not to injure turf and shrubs; Practices safety while operating equipment and reports equipment or course issues immediately.
Edge cart paths, flymo bunker faces, string trim lake banks and around tees, edges and rakes sand bunkers. Completion of jobs and cleanup of the work area as required.
Excavate and back fills trenches with hand tools, operates utility vehicles as required.
Make sure, while operating equipment and hand tools, that all necessary and supplied safety equipment is worn. (Glasses, ear plugs and hard hats) and that all tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored and maintained as required.
Clean machines after use and makes minor adjustments to the equipment under the supervision of the mechanic.
Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis and before use, inspects equipment before use and reports problems or failure to the supervisor immediately.
Stay on cart paths where available and does not further impact high traffic areas.
Help in project work as directed.
Pick up trash and debris while performing job duties.
Is courteous and conscientious of golfers and homeowners.
Practices safety on the job, including but not limited performing job tasks with little or no disruption to the members and guests playing the golf course, returning of all equipment to the designated location and keeping the maintenance areas clean and free of clutter.
Mowing turf using tractors, ride-on machines and specialist hand mowers
Applying detail to courses, including edging of cart paths, flymo bunker faces, string trim lake banks and around tees; edges and rakes sand bunkers
Using environmentally friendly turf treatments to control weeds, fungal diseases and pests when instructed to do so by supervisors or management
Renovating and maintaining bunkers and other hazards, such as water features
Applying irrigation and attending to drainage problems

CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
A complete clean and neat uniform must be worn when working on any PAC Property including nights and weekends, if applicable. Personal appearance must be clean and neat at all times, according to PAC policy.
Communicate with residents and prospects in a manner consistent with PAC's standards.
Read and/or listen to resident requests/complaints.
Receive resident complaints in a calm, open, and professional manner.
Solve problems quickly, usually within 24 hours, or contact supervisor for immediate assistance.
Deliver newsletters, correspondence, etc. to residents' apartment.
Coordinate, set up, attend, and clean up after resident functions (food, tables, display areas, etc.) as requested by the General Manager.
SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
As part of your daily maintenance routine, you may be required to move appliances from one apartment unit to another apartment unit on opposite ends of the property. The appliance may have to be transferred by means of a hand truck up one to three flights of steps. These appliances will range in weight from 75 to well over 300 pounds.
Commercial laundry rooms are equipped with single washing machines and/or stacked (double) clothes dryers which you will be required to move in order to repair and perform preventative maintenance. These machines range in weight from 120 to 300 pounds.
On occasion, you may be required to move furniture from one model unit to another or move furniture items in a resident's apartment to accomplish certain repairs or to correct flood damage. This would require that you move items weighing several pounds to over 300 pounds.
On occasion, you may be involved in repairs to the building structure. You may be required to move or transport several different building materials weighing several pounds to over 300 pounds.
At certain times you will be required to perform maintenance on special equipment (i.e., exercise equipment, gas grills, golf carts, car washes, amenity areas, and security gates). All of these functions require different physical exertion and their weight depends on the particular equipment (usually in excess of 100 pounds).
You will be required to perform certain resident service functions or make upgrades to the apartment home. An example will be to install lighting or ceiling fans. Both duties would require the work to be done using step ladder while lifting.

Department Summary
UNT Health and Science Center grounds department is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, overall care and beautification of campus grounds. This includes all grass, trees, flowers, plants, parking garages, and parking lots.
Position Overview
Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging and raking and sprinkler installation.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the planting and care of trees, shrubbery, flowers, and grass.
Skill in the use of grounds keeping hand tools and equipment, in the operation of motorized and gas-operated equipment, and in the repair and maintenance of sidewalks and parking lots.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
Three (3) or more years of experience in grounds maintenance, involving work in care of flowers, landscape, turf grass, irrigation, or related areas.
Required License/Registration/Certifications
•Must possess a valid Texas driver's license
Job Duties
Gather and remove litter.
Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twinaxle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
Snow and ice removal.
Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans when necessary.
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
