ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Operate all heavy mobile cranes and moving equipment. Operate electro magnetic overhead crane for moving of products between various stages of production. Responsible for inspecting and securely placing hooks, straps, chains, clamps, chokes, cables, and other lifting apparatus prior to moving material, components, and/or equipment. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Work in a safe and secure manner and comply with the safety rules and procedures. Assist in performing small repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment. Perform general laborer duties as required (i.e. grinding, loading and unloading of trucks and railcars, bricking furnace). Keep working area clean and perform housekeeping duties around the plant as required (i.e. pickup tools, roll-up hoses and cables, sweep).
