ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: We are looking for a Test Engineer with experience in measurement and characterization of electromagnetic materials and structures. This experience would consist of (1) a theoretical understanding of such electromagnetic materials and structures, (2) a practical understanding of the execution of high-quality laboratory measurements, and (3) detailed experience in documentation of test procedures and results. You will be required to work closely with all stakeholders in various departments; therefore, strong interpersonal skills are a necessity. We expect the chosen candidate to be hands-on in our labs and production floor working with our technicians and engineers. The ideal candidate should have understanding or familiarity with most or all of the following or an interest in learning: Document and manage the collection of high-quality measurements (RF, vibe, shock, thermal, altitude, EMI, etc.) for RS products and programs. Develop and write data reports and measurement procedures for the laboratory and for specific programs of record. Consult with stakeholders in other departments to facilitate the documentation and tracking of test results for multiple programs and products. Communicate technical concepts and results to external and internal customers to facilitate company/program decisions. Perform other duties, as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a concentration in a relevant Engineering or Physical Sciences discipline. A minimum of five years' experience in the aerospace industry with a preference towards experience in test and documentation.. Experience in writing reports and procedures. A desire to work in a fast-paced work environment with a motivated team that prides itself on its attention to detail, agility, and ability to execute. The Contractor shall assist with Pre-LOA (P&A) and LOA, SOO/SOW development/editing, and reviewing of proposals as assigned by the Government. The Contractor shall assist with reviews of various acquisition documents, export licenses, or other documentation submitted by the prime weapon system or original equipment manufacturers for Government review; and assist with release and coordination of Government responses. The Contractor shall assist with the implementation and execution of assigned LOAs IAW the AECA, Security Assistance Management Manual, DSCA Manual 5105.38-M and complete assigned projects with no or minimal assistance. The Contractor shall provide technical expertise and advice to SAPMs, line managers, and functional team members across all phases of the acquisition process and insight into areas relating to technical policy and lessons learned. The Contractor shall ensure requirements are identified to provide initial support for new acquisitions or modifications of weapon systems through sustainment and disposal. The Contractor shall work with Government personnel, outside agencies, Contractor personnel, and others to support the program. Contractor personnel assist in preparation of technical material for internal and external briefings, presentations, documents and reports. The Contractor shall have leadership experience in wide/varied operational and test organizations and/or fighter/bomber platforms; operational experience as a pilot or weapons system operator in a test environment; F-15 aircraft, systems, and subsystems familiarity; the ability to travel frequently for program reviews and/or site visits; and other airframe, system and sub-system Contractor, test range and laboratory, or customer locations as directed/required. The Contractor shall have knowledge of avionics engineering in support of avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods to include review of ICD, sustainment, Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A), T&E, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems. The Contractor shall have knowledge of radar theory and principles, and an understanding of the radar design, development, and implementation process is required. Expected activities include providing technical advice and serving as the technical interface between the Government customers and the radar manufacturers, interacting with customers, participating in meetings, and producing technical detailed products. The Contractor shall have working knowledge of the ITAR and foreign disclosure processes. The Contractor shall have an understanding of the Congressional notification and RIP/RIS approval process and support the Government in working through these processes. The Contractor shall understand and provide advice on USG policy and technical requirements for individual countries as it relates to the acquisition programs.
