Develops and maintains positive relationships with the clients, staff, volunteers and visitors.
Maintains resident safety and confidentiality. Utilize the wand to check all bags as residents enter the facility; administering breathalyzer and random drug tests to all clients; and forward incoming calls for residents.
Prepares and submits detailed shift and incident reports of all activities, incidents and emergencies that occur during shift.
Maintains safety and security of the building, company vehicles, and all Veterans Inc. property on site.
First responder for client-related emergencies, RC are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Narcan administration.

Granby Public Schools is seeking applicants for Director of School Counseling, Grades 6-12. The Director of School Counseling will oversee all day to day operations of the school counseling departments at the secondary schools, including supervising and observing a staff of school counselors and teaching assistants who serve as program leads for college and career programming and intensive counseling programs, in addition to supervising the school counseling secretary. The ideal candidate should have an extensive knowledge of scheduling and course planning, College Board assessments and programming and school counseling standards. The Director of School Counseling will liaison with Academic Department Leadership, Pupil Services and Building Administration as part of the leadership team. The Director will coordinate 504 case management, participate on the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and attendance teams and serve a key role in regards to planning advisory and developmental guidance lessons and department evening programs including 8th Grade Parent Night, Junior and Senior Planning and Financial Aid Nights. The Director of School Counseling will have a reduced caseload of students needing intensive support. This is a ten month, with some summer days, position.
CSDE Certification for School Counselor (068) and Intermediate Administration or Supervision (092) required and a minimum five years experience as a School Counselor preferred.
Compensation: A determined by the GEA contract plus the department chairperson stipend and 6 additional work days in the summer at the curriculum rate. Please see our GEA contract.
