POSITION SUMMARY: In partnership with Woodlake High School, Dinuba HS, Orosi HS, Tulare Union HS. Provides services in the areas of outreach, assessment, vocational exploration, case management, counseling, development of customers' individual plans, job search assistance and follow-up services; assists in preparation of administrative assignment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 1. Initiates and maintains contact with youth, High School staff, employers, job services and community agencies who express interest in the In-School Youth program opportunities. 2. Provides supportive services to at-risk youth and interprets and/or makes appropriate referrals. 3. Conducts initial assessment interviews and interprets testing results as part of initial assessment. 4. Places youth in subsidized and unsubsidized employment. 5. Provides job search assistance to participants. 6. Assesses skill levels and service needs of participants, including administering and interpreting objective assessment, test results, completing formal objective assessment, to include training and employment needs of the youth, and determining supportive services needs of customers. 7. Prepares and completes Individual Service Plans. 8. Provides counseling to at-risk youth, such as job counseling and career counseling. 9. Provides case management services to participants. The primary focus is to provide a spectrum of short-term counseling services to students enrolled at CSUB in Bakersfield, CA, and may serve students at CSUB- AV in Lancaster, CA. Counseling services include individual and group counseling, workshops on improving the mental health of our students, and teaching general studies courses.     Job Description Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist The Correctional LMFT provides mental health services to inmates within a correctional facility. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy to address mental health issues, trauma, and relationship challenges. The therapist works collaboratively with correctional staff to ensure the well-being of inmates and to support their rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Setting: Correctional Responsibilities: Conduct clinical assessments and diagnose mental health conditions of inmates. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to inmates. Monitor inmate progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Maintain detailed and confidential client records. Collaborate with correctional staff and other healthcare providers. Provide crisis intervention and support within the correctional setting.
