Requests, locates, sends, and receives patient medical records. Loads labs, medications, and other patient information into the electronic medical records (EMR). Assists in exam rooms. Assists the physician(s) with examination, diagnostic procedures, and treatments. Provides direct patient care as ordered. Answers and triages phone calls under RN or provider supervision. Completes insurance and disability paperwork. Documents all interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed or prescribed, and hospital data in the medical record. Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating the physician's advice and instruction. Coordinates patient care by triaging patients depending on the urgency of patients' needs. Administers injections/medications and documents all necessary information ordered by the physician. Adheres to safety guidelines by maintaining equipment and instruments. Stock supplies. Prepares Patient Occurrence Report/Variance Reports as needed. OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: Required to travel to satellite clinics. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE and REGISTRATION: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Current LPN License issued by the Arkansas Board of Nursing BLS Certification EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Minimum one year experience as an LPN Excellent computer and other basic office equipment skills Time management and organizational skills Attention to detail skills REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form. Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
