Calender Line Operator We are currently looking for self-motivated individuals to join our plastics manufacturing team. For this full-time position, individuals must be reliable, willing to work overtime and willing to cross train. Machine operators will report directly to our Production Supervisors. Summary/Objective
This position ensures the set up and quality of products through thorough assessment and analyses using specific procedural standards. Essential Functions

Performs inspections of company products to determine conformance with specifications.
Utilizes standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and measuring devices.
Processes associated documentation, including process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents.

Required Education and Experience

Responsibilities:
Follow work order instructions
Complete machine set up and perform various tasks: scoop color, move drums, connect equipment, adjust temperatures, turn knobs, push buttons, move sheet.
Troubleshoot mechanical problems
Change gauges, speeds and coordinate changeovers
Ensure proper materials are used
Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and measuring devices
Inspect material to ensure quality specs are met
Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Complete proper paperwork and tracking requirements
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Job Requirements:
Experienced in machine set-up, mechanically inclined & able to troubleshoot mechanical problems
Able to use hand tools and measurement devices (micrometer, tape measure)
Possess good math and computer skills
Prior factory and tow motor experience a plus
Work Environment

Grain Etch parts using acids in tank.
Verification of parts to paperwork.
Load/Unload parts per PEI.
Soak parts in acids and rinse properly with water.
Operate power washing equipment.
Hand dry parts or operate automatic parts washer.
Communicate issues with Waste Water Department and Level II Inspector.
Monitor acid tank levels and schedule change-outs.
Perform daily gage audits on acid tanks.
Record all work performed in Lot Control.
Perform other duties in department as assigned by Supervision.
Keep the work area in a clean, orderly and safe working condition.
Follow all safety rules.
Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
