As a Logistics Coordinator at PLS Logistics Services, you are responsible for maintaining productive working relationships with customer representatives, motor carriers, and PLS employees. This role comes with the passionate support of our company and your co-workers around you.
Responsibilities
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Booking & scheduling all shipments within the assigned Account Executive / team.
Understand metrics that lead to team profitability including call center statistics, revenue
& net revenue, variance to target, variance to max, load counts, etc.
Direct communication with the Account Executives and Leadership team.
Identify and solve capacity shortfalls within the team.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of various systems, technology, and
tools to locate and secure various equipment types for customer shipments.
Assign carriers to move shipments based on shipment information.
Profitability: Choose carriers based on service levels and profitability targets.
Negotiate carrier rates (under targets).
Ensure all loads are covered that are expected to ship each day.
Assist with the training and development of all new logistics coordinators and AET's
through shadowing, best practice sharing, and technical support.
Maintain productive working relationships with customer representatives, motor carriers,
and PLS employees.
Monitor carrier performance and report carrier failures.
Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to work flexible schedule
Must exhibit the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Ability to multi-task and understand how to prioritize workload in order of importance
Strong attention to detail
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities
This role will drive and scale the bulk logistics consulting business, focusing on advising clients in maritime and/or rail transportation. This role combines deep industry expertise with strong consulting and sales skills, supporting business development initiatives as well as hands-on client engagements. The position requires working at the intersection of transportation and key sectors such as oil, gas, chemicals, and agriculture, leveraging experience in digital transformation, SaaS solution implementation, and emerging AI technologies. * Proactively identify new client opportunities in maritime and/or rail, serving transportation providers and shippers.
* Partner with account teams to shape proposals and solution offerings, integrating both traditional logistics expertise and digital capabilities (SaaS, AI, automation) to address complex supply chain challenges.
* Support business growth through market insights, stakeholder engagement, and alignment of logistics and digital capabilities to client needs.

Required Qualifications

The Associate Shipping LogisticsSpecialist is responsible for the preparation, routing, and management of internal shipments derived from the Iovance Cell Therapy Center (iCTC) located in Navy Yard, PA and from Research and Product Development entities within the business unit as well as external shipments originating through affiliates associated with Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. The Shipping LogisticsSpecialist duties include reviewing shipment materials before distribution, collaborating with transportation systems to ensure prompt and accurate shipment pick-ups and deliveries, and monitoring shipment costs and productivity processes.
Tuesday to Saturday - 8am-4:30pm. Fixed Schedule
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist with the planning and scheduling of shipments including documentation, physical preparation of packaging, pick-up and delivery arrangements, routing information, shipping instructions, and customs clearance procedures (if applicable) to ensure deliveries arrive on time and to their correct location, using a variety of transportation methods such as trucking companies, railroads, airlines, and/or shipping lines.
Track goods in real time while enroute to their destination ensuring any problems that arise are resolved immediately to avoid potential delays; communicate issues to management that may hinder on time deliveries.
Serve as primary point of contact for external Supply Chain Logistics team when handling inbound and outbound patient samples, tumors, and final product out of iCTC; ensure documentation, pick-up and delivery arrangements are scheduled and communicated to appropriate personnel involved in the shipment.
Participate in the selection of best suited products or materials to estimate quantities or weight of shipments and type of container required for compliant storage and transport.
Liaise with Finance for the preparation of invoices ensuring shipping costs are calculated accurately and passed onto respective departmental cost center.
Negotiate rates with carriers and insurance agencies, and prepare tariffs for oversea shipments, ensuring approved budget targets are achieved as directed by the company.
Interact with insurance companies to settle claims for damaged or lost items.
Maintain a shipment database such as goods shipped, addresses, contact information, courier used, transportation method, shipment results, etc. that supports optimization efforts on future shipments.
Create reports for senior management on various shipping metrics such as tracking shipments and costs, compile statistics about shipping volume and rates, monitor courier performance, and participate in continuous improvement opportunities with recommendations to enhance shipping efficacy and accuracy, while lowering costs.
Performs other duties as assigned by leader.
Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge
5+ years warehouse experience in a high-volume cGMP production or manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, APICS Certification is an asset.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Job Description
Primary Responsibility: Receive, catalogue, stage, and ship NE&TO network equipment to and from the NE&TO Logistics and Staging Facility. Inspection, cataloguing, and visual identification, of network routers, DWDM (dense wave division multiplexing) equipment, optical & ethernet devices, CMTS (cable modem terminating systems) components, servers, storage devices, video equipment, CDV (voice over IP) telephony equipment, associated IRM (installation related material) such as cable, connectors, etc.
Assemble and disassemble modules, power supplies, and processors in Network routers, CMTS devices, and Optical equipment to meet engineering standards.
Complete hardware configuration, pre-staging of server power supplies, drives, and memory to meet engineering standards according to work orders.
Assembly of DWDM/Ethernet/Sonet modules and pluggable components and line cards.
Assemble deployment readiness kits.
Utilize proper ESD handling procedures when working with electronic equipment.
Coordinate closely with Senior Inventory Control and Deployment Engineering on equipment deployment requests.
Assist Staging Lab Engineers in populating Routers, Switches and Servers as needed.
Responsible for the accountability of all assets held in the NE&TO Logistics and Staging Facility inventory and the accuracy of the warehouse database above a 98% level at all times, valued at over $75M.
As instructed, complete accurate and timely receipt of equipment against packing slips and purchase orders.
Operate forklift to load and unload trucks delivering or picking up equipment.
Support with the verification of packing slips for received equipment and the timely submission of packing slips to Business Operations.
Aid with the coordination of asset recoveries of decommissioned equipment to be redeployed.
Experience and Qualifications:
0-1-year experience in shipping/receiving.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, excel and PowerPoint.
Basic understanding of network architectures involving access and core-level switch-routers, servers, and cable modem termination systems (CMTSs).
Familiar with equipment interconnections and interoperability.
Basic understanding of handling highly complex electronics (Network equipment).
Understanding of the different standards for interfaces such as Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet over fiber, and Gigabit Ethernet over copper and 10-Gigabit Ethernet.
Familiar with Cisco, Sun, Dell and HP hardware at a minimum.
Understanding the proper handling of equipment in an ESD environment.
Familiarity with IP Network equipment, IP Transport Equipment and video equipment is desirable.
