This role involves skilled maintenance and repair of all Public Works Department vehicles and equipment, as well as the upkeep of the Town garage. The mechanic works under the general supervision of the Superintendent and Highway Division Foreman, with significant autonomy in decision-making regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities: Perform skilled repairs and maintenance on gasoline and diesel engines, including engine overhauls, brake and suspension work, electrical system repairs, and clutch replacements Operate and document a preventive maintenance program, keeping detailed records of all work performed on vehicles and equipment Repair power equipment and tools such as compressors, jackhammers, and mowers. Order and manage parts inventory, prepare and maintain repair records, and assist in developing vehicle specifications Operate vehicles for snow removal and sanding during winter, plowing, and perform emergency highway operations as needed. Pipeline Technician Required: Must have 3 years of industry experience, experience with perm-liner products, and knowledge of equipment Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practice. Prepares & installs Perma-Liner product to pipes identified for repair. Provide effective communication between customers and Wind River Environmental. Educate and assist customers on products and service. Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the project. Protect pipelining products and equipment and keep a well inventoried truck. Participate actively in all training exercises, team meetings, and safety discussions. Completion and submission of all required quotes and service paperwork to management. Follow all Wind River Environmental service protocols. Must be able to work overtime. Must comply with all FMCSA and DOT regulations if applicable. Must practice safe work methods to remain accident and injury free.?
