The Tech will perform set-up, adjustments, and repairs to the production equipment and other duties as assigned. They will check all machine guards and ensure safety mechanisms are in place and effective. Please note that the facility can get warm in the summer and cool in winter. The manufacturing floor is noisy and loud due to running machinery. Manufacturing machinery is made up of moving parts and can be dangerous if proper operation and safety procedures are not followed.
Principal Responsibilities:
Set up multiple machines for operation.
Maintain and repair machines including disassembly and re-assembly, inspection, preventative maintenance, and detection of damage.
Make necessary adjustments, inspect product, machine speed, minimize down time.
Works closely with the production team to meet production and quality goals.
Assists Machine Operator in maintaining quality control and production requirements.
Communicate with shift supervisor and/or machine operators of potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety including equipment and product issues.
