    Primary Job Function This bonus eligible position develops setups and installs various types of hardware per customer prints and manufacturer specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follows department standard operating procedures. Performs setup of hardware machines per manufacturer recommendation. Utilizes the correct tooling to ensure that hardware is secure, sits flush, protects threads, in the proper quantities, in the proper holes, to required torque in/out values. Performs a broad range of simple to highly complex configurations, utilizing multiple types, lengths and widths in an array of patterns and flanges. Installs pop rivets into complete units and sub-assemblies per customer prints. Assemblies must meet cosmetic standards and function per customer needs. Follows established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; helps to maintain a safe working environment. Keeps work area clean and organized. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications and Experience Minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications and related job experience that employee typically must have to perform essential functions of the job acceptably. Knowledge of and ability to properly use a rivet gun and various types and makes of hardware and pop rivets. Strong blueprint reading, math and measurement skills. Strong inspection skills. Ability to determine whether hardware types, lengths and sizes are correct, and that installation does not harm thread. Ability to understand proper setup and pop rivet new product lines and assure the correct head types, grip lengths and material type rivets are being used. Ability to develop effective methods for installing hardware into parts or pop riveting assemblies. Strong attention to detail. What You'll Do: • Read and follow job order specifications and blueprints. • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules. • Set up and operates automatic multiple-operation machine to perform any combination of bending, roll forming to fabricate metal sheets or plates. • Installs and aligns roller dies, drive and forming rolls, forming dies using rulers, vernier gauges, square, shims, and hand tools. • Sets side guides and stops. Turns knobs to regulate voltage of resistance and synchronize speed of feed rolls, forming rolls, punch, or shear rams. • Places roll of sheet or strip metal onto feed roll, thread ends through machine or into drive rolls, or metal blanks or against guides to feed machine. • Start machine, verify dimension of finished product visually or using micrometers, calipers, or gauges. Remove finished parts from machine. • All duties must be performed in compliance with Astec Mobile Screens policies relating to safety and housekeeping. Role Summary Machine Operators follow specific processes to manufactured tea products in compliance with CFR 111, dietary supplement regulations. A Machine Operator functions within a team-style work environment to accurately follow procedures, track quality standards, apply expert knowledge to keep machinery running and complete documentation throughout the production process. Role Responsibilities: Essential functions of the role, but are not limited to the following: Machine Operation 70 % of time • Runs equipment to meet or exceed standard production rates with minimal packaging material scrap. • Communicates any hazards or unsafe actions to the supervisor, lead, or maintenance immediately. • Replenishes supplies, such as overwrap, boxes, cartons, glue, wire, filter paper or labels. • Can understand, interpret, and act on conditions out of tolerance. • Follow company policies and procedures, safety practices and GMP's. • Rotate workstations often for variety and training opportunities - including conveyors, automated case packing, Mespic system, upper mezzanine, and manual packing assignments as needed. • Stand in for breaks and filling personnel gaps.
