The North America team is currently looking for a Machine Operator on 1 st shift to join our Taylorville, IL facility. The Machine Operator operates various fabrication and roll forming machines and fabricates material to specification, from job orders and document production data. The Operator must follow detailed instructions to ensure the accuracy of each product. They must inspect parts for any defects or inconsistencies and adjust as needed. The Operator must also monitor the machines to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently. They must have a good understanding of the equipment and be able to troubleshoot any issues that arise. The Operator must be able to read and understand technical documents, follow safety guidelines, and maintain accurate records of production.
Your Impact
Set-up, adjust, program, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on fabrication and roll forming equipment.
Fabricate material to specification, from job order and document production data at a level of output that minimizes production delays.
Utilize quality checks to ensure all systems are set for correct operational sequencing and to meet product standards.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area to 5S Standards.
Implement all aspects of Grain & Protein Technologies Lean and Quality Management systems.
Comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Your Experience and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous machine operator experience preferred; fabrication or roll forming equipment highly preferred.
Understanding of how to use measuring instruments (calipers, protractor, tape measure, steel ruler), read blueprints and operate hand grinder and other hand tools.
Ability to read, write and use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift.
Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments and shifts.

Expected total compensation for this role will be $21.80 to $26.97 per hour depending upon job related knowledge, experience, and skills.

What Youll Do:
Operate wheel loaders, skid steers, or salt trucks to clear snow and ice
Keep parking lots, driveways, and pathways safe for our customers
Work during snowstorms often overnight and in tough weather conditions
What Were Looking For:
Dependable, safety-focused operators
Previous experience running heavy equipment
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work long shifts during storms
On-call availability with reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
