Westchester Plastics LLC. is currently hiring for machine operators.
Requirements
Report to Foreman or Shift Manager/Supervisor.
Responsible for safe operation of all compounding equipment within standard operating conditions and standard operating procedures.
Responsible for proper equipment set up/calibrations.
Responsible for proper material stewardship of customer material being run on the associated production line he or she is operating.
Responsible for safety and housekeeping on the associated production line he or she is operating.
Responsible to run material according to customer specifications and AMETEK procedures.
Work with QC Lab to monitor quality of material being produced and make adjustments as approved/necessary.
Ensure all paperwork in associated job folders is properly completed by all individuals working on his or her production line.
Work with Customer Service and Materials teams to requisition and/or return raw materials.
Ensure all unused materials are properly removed from the machine and labeled properly so they can be returned to the warehouse.
Assist maintenance as necessary during machine set-ups/changeovers.
Perform clean up's as necessary during changeovers.
Perform any additional duties assigned by Shift Manager/Supervisor.

Shift 8am-4pm $17/hour
Job Duties
As required, cut band saw coil stock, weld band saw blades, and package finished product.
Set up band saw welding equipment and make adjustments to equipment as necessary.
Be sure that all product conforms to product specifications.
Perform in-process quality checks. Visually inspect work done in previous operations before continuing to perform further operations.
Make proper machine adjustment to correct, as needed
Perform basic metrological tests to determine product quality and do spot checks during runs
Stop any process that is producing non-conforming product.
Cross train to operate multiple machines in multiple functions, such as welders, grinders and cutters.
Complete shipping/receiving functions
Maintain a clean and safe environment including keeping cutting and welding equipment in good working condition.
All other duties as assigned.
Background and drug tests are required for review of eligibility, all prescreening is performed at no cost to the applicant. Steel toe-shoes and other PPE are required.
