Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site PLC Machine Operator / Automation Technician role based in Binghamton, NY.
You will operate and support PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment, including our primary molding line (TH10). Prior experience on this specific machine is not required-training and mentorship will be provided. The ideal candidate has a PLC background, understands how automated systems work, and can learn complex machine operations quickly.
Responsibilities include operating equipment, monitoring performance, troubleshooting PLC-, electrical-, and mechanical issues, and working with engineering to optimize production while maintaining safety and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sort soiled linen and garments by product type
Prepare and load clean products for delivery according to route needs

Working knowledge and basic experience using precision measuring equipment.
Working knowledge and basic experience reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
Working knowledge and basic experience using computers and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Working knowledge and basic experience using handheld power tools
Basic Computer skills, advanced skills will be developed
Ability to be Proficient in Microsoft Office suite within 12 months
The employee should possess the ability to:
Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
Required to climb and/or balance and stoop, kneel, and crouch
Prolong standing or in stationary position
Complete repetitive movements
Bend and/or twist
Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
