MAIN FUNCTION

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the safe, efficient, reliable and environmentally sound operation of plant equipment.
Properly operates scrubbers, steam turbines, generators, plant auxiliary equipment and systems during normal and emergency operations.

Generates and reviews Work Requests for execution of equipment repair.
Takes direction from the Operator in the control room or the Unit Supervisor
Operates various computer systems (DCS/PLC) to receive, analyze, comprehend and input data.
Assists in on-the-job training of other Operators.
Responsible for maintaining boiler chemistry.
Properly fills out the required record keeping forms.
Monitors and trouble shoots process equipment in the field.
Assists in development, review, and revision of plant operating procedures.
Performs housekeeping on a daily basis around the facility.
Actively participate in established safety program
Conserves production resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Monitor off-loading Ammonia and other bulk chemicals at the site.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Press Brake Operator will use the press brake machine to shape multiple types of metal, primarily sheet metal. To do so, the operators load pieces of metal into the machine for shaping or straightening, aligning and positioning the material to achieve specific shapes to meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
Operate press break machine.
Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
Check height, depth and thickness using precision measuring instruments.
Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
Program the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications.
Perform spot inspections of parts.
Complete and maintain paperwork.
Have an understanding of and ability to utilize a tape measure, squaring tools, electronic level, calipers, and micrometers.
Understand tolerances for parts.
Check machine for defects and repair if necessary.
Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, an any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
In-person, predictable attendance
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
High School Diploma or GED equivalent certificate.

Requires holding an Assembler II position in Unit Assembly
Ability to be trained and certified to operate overhead crane and fork trucks while moving and assembling product
Ability to be trained to run fabrication machinery
Able to operate and use hand and power tools (pipe cutter, ratcheting, standard wrenches)
Must be able to apply significant torque with hand tools throughout the entire work day (wrenches, ratcheting tools, channel locks, etc.)
Able to read a tape measure.
Able to lift and/or move heavy objects/components, frequently up to 30 pounds
Requires manual dexterity with ability to make coordinated hand and finger movements to grasp, manipulate and assemble objects, and handle tools.
Ability to work using repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists.
Able to stand for prolonged periods on a concrete floor.
Able to walk, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Able to climb ladders and work in high areas.
Must have demonstrated ability to communicate (speak, read, write) in English.
Good math skills are preferred to interpret drawings and specifications.
Able to work independently and with others.
