General Responsibilities:
Promote a safe workplace and follow all established work policies.
Perform daily production tasks as assigned by supervisor, brush trimming, bagging, etc.
Perform quality control checks of brushes in process and as final inspection.
Operate production machines i.e., gab sealer, washing machine, cutting equipment, mounting equipment, flow-through system, CRO, core welder, core cleaning system.
Package and label products
Assist Leads and team with the operation of Cleanroom equipment to produce PVA sponge product meeting product specifications.

Operation of production tool for mandrel application requires excessive hand/arm movements and moving of bulk binned mandrels: 15 - 40 pounds.
Mandrel cleaning process consists of ongoing hand/arm movements, bending at the waist, and movement of bulk binned mandrels. 15 - 40 pounds.
Product conditioning/cleaning requires ongoing movement of hands/arms at and above shoulder level, bending, and reaching to load and unload product from production tools. Product is handled individually weighing under 2 pounds each.
Regular attendance is required.
Compensation Information:
Starting wage is $17.83 - $22.90 plus 10% shift differential.

Essential Functions
* Operates, tests, and monitors assigned equipment according to established guidelines for an organization.
* Observes and conducts operation of equipment and documents maintenance needs.
* Troubleshoots control panels, error lights, and messages to ensure proper equipment function. May communicate with equipment technicians relating to highly complex issues.
* Verifies equipment data for reporting. Supports and assists with the installation of operating equipment.
Required Qualifications
* Required education and experience: High School Diploma/GED required and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Preferred education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree
* Knowledge, skills & abilities: Written communication skills. Ability to gather and document information. Ability to lift/move heavy objects. Mechanical knowledge. Safety knowledge.
Physical Requirements
* Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
* Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
* May need to stand for long periods of time.
* Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
* May be requested to work a different shift.
* Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.

Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Production Operator 2 to join our Camden team! This individual will be required to set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
