The Miscellaneous Laborer (ML) is responsible for performing routine housekeeping and cleaning throughout Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: shoveling, sweeping, and vacuuming floors; pressure washing screens; re-melting sugar; removing garbage and other forms of manual labor to benefit safe, efficient operations. The ML is required to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, cross-train and perform work in station positions, and assist in tasks such as beet and sugar clean up.
Individuals working as a ML must be able to perform duties utilizing the following equipment: shovels, squeegees, water hoses, poke rods, brooms, wheelbarrows, forklifts and skid loaders. The ML is also required to be respirator trained and fit tested. The ML must be able to lift 50-pounds, routinely throughout a 12-hour shift.
This position must have knowledge of safe operation procedures, personal protective equipment, and quality standards, and must complete all necessary training and Job Safety Analyses to operate equipment or perform position tasks.

What You'll Do

Make complex repairs and major adjustments to assembly equipment, including set-ups and changeovers
Perform quality checks per the quality inspection plan (QIP) and document specified measurements per print at required intervals
Perform daily/weekly/monthly preventive and routine machine maintenance
Performs tooling adjustment (e.g., sharpening/conditioning, checking height of spring-loaded pins (pin-ou), keying features, bend stations, insertion stations)
Replaces sensors, punches, dies, stock components, air cylinders, belts, etc.
Adjusts housing feed based on associated standards
Uses height indicator, ram optic, gauges and microscopic visual checks
Identifies and re-sets machine faults, clears jams, restarts production, removes and packages finished product
What You'll Need
