Primary Function:
Under crew leader/operator direction, perform a limited range of duties to process rubber and thermoplastic sheeting and flashing products and adhesive accessories. Duties may include visual inspection for defects, repairing of defects, scrapping of defective material, material handling using a forklift, hoist and bridge crane, measuring and recording of dimensional information, packaging of product, identification of product, interface with bar code system, etc. Incumbent is involved in setup and changeover of equipment, preparation of product for transfer to subsequent steps in the operation, and is responsible for the safety, productivity and quality of the operation. Incumbent will be used to fill in on other jobs in the plant as required and capable. Participate in plant initiatives such as 5S, problem solving, lean manufacturing concepts, continuous improvement, behavioral-based safety, etc.

* Ability to walk several miles per shift, stand for long periods, pull, reach, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, sit to operate forklift (other movements as needed to perform essential functions of the position). POSITION SUMMARY:

Essential Functions
* As Assistant Warden of Operations, develops, establishes and implements facility rules, regulations, directives, policies and procedures for the facility to ensure proper operation of daily functions.

Responsibilities
* Operators are responsible for continuously monitoring and maintaining product quality based on established standards including visual and mechanical inspection of product.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Republic of Tea is looking for a Production Operator. Hours are 5:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday depending on company needs. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge in operation of tea bagging, leaf filling, and labeling equipment for the purpose of producing a "high end" product.
Must be trained and certified on the operation of machine assigned or staff assigned.
Must produce paperwork indication type and quality of raw materials received each day.
May also be responsible for setting up of all production lines with raw material, based on the posted schedule and input from supervision.
Quality ownership of products being produced.
Spot-checking products for quality control issues, filling containers with product, labeling products, and boxing products for movement to the warehouse.
Daily output to meet/exceed daily goals as posted on production board.
Attendance goal of 2 or less unscheduled absences a year.
Expectation of zero accidents/injuries of all employees. Be able to identify and correct unsafe practices.
Understand and navigate machine HMIs (Human Machine Interface).
Follow all SQF (Safe Quality Food) regulations and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
Familiarity with SQF code and ability to answer questions during audit regarding job specifications.
Responsible for keeping workspace neat and clean as well as assisting with warehouse cleaning as needed.
