How You Will Contribute We are seeking individuals that can lead and deliver large, complex client engagements, working closely with PE leadership to identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for their portfolio companies. Associates frequently assist with the following types of engagements: Gain a comprehensive understanding of a target's manufacturing and distribution operations-- organization design, production capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing and team capability. Evaluate the maintainability and operability of production facilities Review current and historical data to understand efficiency & capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts and detailed production numbers. Provide shop floor insights by talking with employees and customers and reviewing all available data Identify potential cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing or consolidation of facilities Develop transformation plans to drive proposed changes and identify key risks and mitigation strategies Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Keep a clean and organized work environment per 5S Facilitates equipment by applying electrical power, pneumatics, and mechanical components in temporary installations. Assembles complex electrical and mechanical assemblies according to drawings, schematics, 3D viewing software, and/or standard procedures using hand tools. Performs mechanical alignments and calibration of equipment to ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure), quality standards and other procedures that are used during the test cycle of the products. Performs leak detection on Vacuum assemblies to verify vacuum integrity using helium leak detection equipment. Operate a multi meter. Debugs equipment, including electrical (to PCB level), mechanical, and vacuum systems, to facilitate power-up and gathering of test data. Reports test data with provided templates. Records and reports mechanical and electrical failures and discrepancies. Participates in the development of manufacturing processes and procedures. Prepares systems for shipment, including cleaning, break-down, preparation of miscellaneous list, and interface with shipping. Assists in keeping material flow for WIP projects efficient. Operates packaging/shipping equipment, including forklift, after completing approved training course. All manufacturing technicians may be required to perform other duties related to the general operations of the company as necessary. Manufacturing technicians may be required, and should be prepared, to travel domestically and/or internationally for equipment service/repair at customer sites. Prepare raw materials for initial processing. This includes manually loading materials on to conveyer belts, using knifes to cut material and using a forklift to dump drums of material. Move and manipulate ingredient containers as necessary to complete the blend process. This includes moving and lifting 50 pound barrels on a regular basis. Sanitize all blending tanks and equipment using mildly caustic cleaning agents. This includes climbing Use a forklift to transfer raw material from initial processing equipment to staging tanks. Perform still start up procedures. This includes connecting hoses and opening valves. Monitor and document still reading, and sounds to ensure proper distillation. Perform aromatic and visual evaluations of materials and notify lead personnel of any production problems. Produce product samples for QC testing and analysis. Dispense intermediate, distilled materials into various types and sizes of storage containers. Load and unload incoming and outgoing drum trailers. Weigh and measure materials using both standard and metric systems. Properly label material containers and update necessary documentation. Appropriately store finished materials in cold rooms, freezers and warehouse locations. This includes use of a forklift for storage of drummed and bulk materials. Perform standard cleaning and sanitation processes as directed by lead and supervisory personnel. Maintain a clean and tidy work area free of trash and debris at all times.
