The Manufacturing Associate plays a key role in assisting in all activities associated with the manufacturing of products and to ensure production assignments are met in a timely manner.
Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor
Location: Johnson City TN
Hours: Friday - Sunday: 6am - 6pm
Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
Assist Manufacturing Supervisor in the day to day operations of the manufacturing department.
Assist in mixing all chemicals needed for products using a recipe determined by Crown Laboratories documenting each batch used.
Assist in all activities associated with the production of products in accordance with the issued batch record.
Assist in keeping journal logbooks up to date
Assure all utensils are cleaned and washed after using.
Keep area neat and orderly.
Keep production process flowing smoothly, helping as needed on production line.
Inventory all chemicals and raw materials in manufacturing area at the end of every month or as needed for Inventory Control.
Assist in other departments or areas as needed.
Conform to all cGMP procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
Three to five years experience in a manufacturing facility.
Some knowledge of metric system.
Punctual and consistent attendance.
High school diploma or equivalent
Consistent and punctual attendance.
Must be quality driven with good attention to detail but also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift approximately 80-100 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

General Duties/Responsibilities
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Assist in the setup, breakdown, and cleaning of any of the bottling lines on packing days
Work a variety of positions on the packaging lines throughout the day.
Ensure that product being handled at your particular station meets standards of quality (caps fastened, liquid level appropriate, labels level, boxes secure)
Fill and clean kegs when needed
Daily cleaning and set-up following Good Manufacturing Practices
Perform case flavor mixing as needed
Thorough deep cleaning or special projects may be deemed necessary on an as needed basis
Participate in training sessions that may include, but are not limited to safety protocols, operational procedures, skill development and compliance requirements.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities
Follow GMP policy when in the production facility and encourage your team to do the same.
Understand our SQF policies relating to pest control, visitors, allergen management, and cleaning and sanitation.
Demonstrate awareness of Management's Commitment to SQF and work towards Food Safety and Quality and help the company meet this commitment.
If there is a problem that involves food quality and safety, report to the Quality Assurance Manager so that the CAPA (corrective action, preventative action) log may be filled out, the situation be investigated, and resolved with the goal of continuous improvement of food quality and safety.

As a Manufacturing Technician at NOGJ in Jonesborough, you will perform a variety of duties within the Operations department and will support various programs across the site. * Operating and setting up various machinery and shop equipment including but not limited to manual lathes, engravers, presses, mills, furnaces, automated welding, forging machines, swagers, painting booths, engine lathes and machinery involved in the disassembly of projectiles (demil)
* Utilizing and reading inspection gaging equipment including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, comparators, shadow graphs, indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
* Operating inspection equipment
* Inspecting product both in-process and post-process
* Screening of product lots
* Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
* Fabricating quality product to Customer specifications
* Maintaining count and traceability of parts including tagging rejected parts
* Performing rework of parts, as necessary
* Performing advanced data collection, analysis and reporting activities
* Collecting, analyzing and utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) data
* Assisting with troubleshooting processes and providing escalation/feedback to appropriate personnel
