THE FINE PRINT:

JOB SUMMARY
As a Manufacturing Engineer in Faribault, MN, you will: work onsite to support and lead floor-level engineering projects, including equipment guarding, workstation repositioning, bill of materials (BOM) updates, and revisions to drawings and models; work in cross-functional teams during the new product implementation phase to ensure manufacturability; develop and implement quality control plans, inspection methods, and testing protocols; be a hands-on engineer who is comfortable with active engaging in the manufacturing environment; support production associates to drive hands-on improvement; drive practical solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and workflow, and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering required
3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering. Metal fabrication, electro-mechanical and/or electronic assembly experience preferred.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies required
Proven analytical skills to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
Experience with Solidworks to update drawings and models
Understanding of BOM structures and experience with BOM creation and maintenance
Ability to manage and implement floor-level projects, such as equipment guarding and workstation repositioning
Familiarity with safety standards and ergonomic principles in manufacturing settings
